Do you have a 3.6 V6 Engine that’s Over heating Leaking Antifreeze or a Bad Oil Leak? Most likely it’s the Oil Filter Cooler Housing that’s Bad and Either Cracked Or the Seals are Bad. This is a Very Common problem with these v6 3.6 Engines. If you driver anything 2011 or newer with these engines or drive a Chrysler or Dodge, Jeeps , Chargers, Durango’s, ECT all that have the 3.6 these Goes bad and leak antifreeze and oil. These Oil filter cooler housings are made out of plastic and they get super hot and brittle over time and they crack or the seals go bad and start leaking Oil and antifreeze in the Lower Intake Valley of your engine and sometimes it’s hard for others to detect unless you actually know of the problem. I’ve had so many in the last year now come to me with either a bad oil leak or over heating issues and bad antifreeze leak that no one could figure out where it was coming from. Unless you know of this problem and know to look deep down in and around the oil filter cooler housing area. You will see coolant and oil down there. The cooler is located below the intake manifold below the lower intake that’s in the center of the engine. Usually the oil and coolant will leak down from the back of the engine or on the driver side depending on which way your engine is facing in the engine bay. I can’t tell you exactly how many of these have been bad and cracked or leaking in just the past year now that I’ve came across these engines. The crazy thing is. Auto zone and all them other top brand auto parts stores want a little over $300 for the new Oil Filter Cooler Housing. But I can get you the Same one brand new and it’s made out of aluminum and not plastic and it comes with all the gaskets and seals all for under a 100 bucks for the new part compared to AutoZone and them wanting over 300 for the part. I help my customers save money on the new part and get it for around 70 bucks. Crazy ain’t it. Just have to wait a couple days to get it shipped. But if you have a car with one of these 3.6 engines and have a bad oil leak or a coolant leak and your car is over heating. Or also a bad Oil Temp Sensor or a bad Coolant Temperature Sensor as well, Then come to me and let’s set up an appointment and get your car running decent again.
