Mopar Baby!

Customer states : we just purchased this Pacifica and engine is running rough and now has bad lifter tick. . Unfortunately this 3.6 v6 engine has seen better days as. We tore off valve covers and found bank 2 intake cam was badly damaged along with all the rocker arms. Engine oil filter housing was leaking oil / antifreeze. While doing a compression check we noticed someone attempted to repair misfire by replacing spark plugs on only 3 of 6 CYLINDERS 😮 . Compression check results determine bank 1 head gaskets was bad and bank 2 intake cam and rockers is also bad.

We delivered the bad news to customer and advised to replace engine instead of repairing it. Unfortunately this engine is very expensive and cost $4,000-$5000 depending on mileage

We were able to locate a used low mileage 18k mile long block engine from a wrecked 21 Durango for only $2500 . It’s the same short block & heads but have to transfer all oil pan, timing covers accessories from old engine to new long block engine .

We don’t just swap parts …. we diagnose the issue , identify reason for mechanical failure and provide our customers with recommendations on how to prevent it from happening again .
