Hey y’all 👋🏼 Mrs. Colorworks here stealing the page for a minute… 🫶🏼
A little over seven years ago, we took one of the biggest leaps of faith of our lives. We opened this business when our first baby was only ONE WEEK old. Looking back now, I honestly don't know how we did it. I'm not sure if we were brave or just completely sleep-deprived. 😂
Back then, all we had was faith, a newborn, and a dream that felt bigger than we were.
Since then, life has been a whirlwind. We've welcomed two more babies, balanced diapers with deadlines, and bedtime routines with late nights at the shop. There have been countless sleepless nights, early mornings, missed family dinners, vacations interrupted by phone calls, and more cups of coffee than we can count. Somehow, through all of it, we kept chasing this dream together—even during the seasons when giving up would've been so much easier.
Running a business while raising a family has never been easy, and it definitely hasn't always been pretty. If I'm being honest, there have been seasons where we've simply been trying to make it through—and with our youngest only 9 months old, I'd say we're still in one of those seasons. 😅 But through every challenge, one thing has never changed: your work ethic.
I've watched you start from the absolute bottom and build something with your own two hands. I've watched you carry the weight of this business on your shoulders because providing for our family has always come first.
I've seen the pressure, the exhaustion, the sacrifices, and all the moments no one else gets to see. The nights you came home completely worn out, only to wake up and do it all over again because quitting was never an option.
No shortcuts. No handouts. Just long days, determination, and an unwavering commitment to doing things the right way. You've poured your heart and soul into building this business, and into taking care of every single person who has trusted you with their vehicle.
People see the finished product now, but they didn't see the years of blood, sweat, tears, uncertainty, and prayers that got us here.
So seeing you be named Coastal Virginia Magazine Best OVERALL Car Care Facility for 2026 🏆 fills my heart with so much pride because I know exactly what this award represents. It represents every sacrifice. Every risk. Every long day. Every customer you treated like family. Every time you chose to keep going when it would've been easier to quit.
You have never chased recognition—you've simply worked hard, stayed honest, treated people right, and let your work speak for itself. That's exactly why this honor means so much.
No one builds something like this entirely alone. To our team—thank you for everything you've done to help us serve our customers and continue growing. Every chapter of this business has included people who've helped along the way, and we're grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey.
Our three babies may not remember every late night or every weekend spent at the shop, but one day they'll know they watched their dad build something incredible from the ground up. They'll know that success isn't measured by awards alone—it's built through consistency, character, sacrifice, and refusing to give up.
To everyone who has trusted us over these last seven years, voted for us, recommended us, and supported our family's dream... thank you. Every single one of you has been part of this journey, and we are forever grateful.
And to my husband... I wish you could see yourself through my eyes for just a minute. You are so much more than this award. You're an amazing husband, an incredible father, and the hardest-working man I know. This recognition is so well deserved, and I couldn't be prouder to stand beside you.
Congratulations, babe. You earned every bit of this. We love you. ❤️
