Had to show up for our people! 🤝 We stopped by American Transmission’s booth at the Sunbelt Ag Expo in Moultrie to support the team behind the transmissions we install here at Back Forty.

Based in Jacksonville, American Transmission has been in business since 1982.
44 years of transmission experience. They remanufacture transmissions in house, use dyno testing to check performance before installation or shipment, and have their own torque converter remanufacturing operation.

That experience and attention to quality matter when we’re choosing what goes into your truck. The people behind the parts are part of the repair, too.

Since their management changes in January, we’ve been grateful to watch their growth and see the work their team is putting into the company.

There are some familiar faces on that team, which makes cheering them on even sweeter. Proud to support American Transmission and glad to have them supporting Back Forty!

Holiday hours at Back Forty 🦃🎄

We’ll be trading shop time for family time on these dates:

Thanksgiving: CLOSED November 25–27
Christmas: CLOSED December 23–25

We’ll reopen the following Monday after each holiday break.

If your truck has been dropping hints, let’s get it on the schedule before the holiday road trip. Preferably before you load the casserole 😂

Cainan disagreed and accepted the walk-in anyway.

Meet Jasmine 👋

If you’ve called, texted, emailed, dropped off a truck, asked for an update, or generally needed to know what in the world is going on with your vehicle lately… there’s a good chance you’ve already met Jasmine. 😂

Jasmine is officially joining the Back Forty crew as our Service Advisor, which means she’ll be handling customer communication, helping keep everyone updated, building estimates, scheduling, and generally helping us keep the chaos organized as we continue to grow.

And y’all, she’s good.

She’s picked up an absolutely ridiculous amount in a short period of time, asks great questions, and has already become such a great addition to our team.

She is also still training, because apparently we cannot download several years of diesel repair knowledge directly into someone’s brain. We’ve checked.

So if she ever has to say, “Let me ask Zach,” give her a little grace. 😂 There is A LOT to learn, and she’s learning it.

We’re incredibly excited about what adding Jasmine allows us to do.
Better communication, better systems, and more room for Back Forty to grow without sacrificing the level of service we want to give our customers.

So help us officially welcome Jasmine, our Service Advisor. 💚💙

And be nice to her.

She’s the one answering the phone now. Choose your battles accordingly. 😂

🚨 Last call before our Labor Day week shutdown!

This is our final week in the shop before we close September 7–11.

At this point, our schedule for major repairs is full, and those jobs will be scheduled for after we reopen on Monday, September 14.

If you need a quick repair, diagnostic, or routine maintenance, give us a call as soon as possible. We'll do our best to fit you in before we head out.

To everyone who has trusted us with their truck, referred a friend, shared a post, or simply cheered us on, thank you. Y'all have kept us busier than we ever imagined, and we're incredibly grateful.

We'll be back September 14, rested and recharged. Ready to diagnose!

Now if your truck could avoid developing a new noise while we're closed... we'd all appreciate that. 😂💙💚

Just another day at Back Forty. 🔧

Trucks in the bays, hoods up, tools moving, and a team steadily getting better at what we do.

It’s easy to get caught up in the next job, the next problem, and the never-ending list of things we want to improve. Then you catch a view like this and realize… dang. We’re building a pretty cool little shop around here.

One truck, one customer, and one day at a time. 💚💙

A few months ago, a couple found their way to our shop after breaking down on the interstate traveling from Wisconsin to Florida. The part they needed was backordered, but with some incredible help from our O’Reilly reps, we were able to track one down and get them back on the road.

Yesterday, they stopped back by, not because they needed anything, but because they remembered us. 🥹
John handmade these pens for us (Rachel got purple💜), and they even brought us a sampler of b**r from Wisconsin.

They came through our doors as strangers having a bad day and came back months later just to say thank you. There are a lot of long days in this business, but moments like this remind us why we do what we do.

Thank you for remembering us and bringing a little piece of Wisconsin back to Georgia 💙💚
