Junior Animal has been a fun race to watch every weekend! While 1st place seems to always be a decided, 2nd and back is always a guessing game!

Your leader in points, by 42 points, is Axel. With FOUR 1st place finishes, its going to be hard to defeat him the rest of the year! But thats the only sure thing in the Junior Animal class. Garrett holds his second place position, but his lead diminished to just 3 points this week. And that means the tie for 3rd place has offiically been broken, with Cara Madison Racing getting herself a 6 point lead over Niko. But 6 points in this series is not hard to overcome. So while Niko sits in 4th, a solid finish could bump him right back to 3rd! Remember I said 6 points isn't much? WELL, just ask Chase who closed a 12 point gap from Niko to only 3 points with 1 solid race day! While he has sat in 5th place the whole season, the points are now so close its anyones game.

Think about this, it means 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th, are only 12 points apart. Nobody is safe (except Axel... for now). Hanging out in 6th is MJ needing to close a 36 point gap to get into the top 5. The last of our full time animal drivers is Hayden. He missed the first 2 races of the year, but came out swinging this past weekend with a 2nd place finish helping him close up the gap. What once was a 75 point deficit to MJ, has closed to 50 points.

5 races to go and just 12 points separate 4 cars. It will be one of the funnest races to the end to watch! Come on down and enjoy the action!

When we tell you anything can happen, we are NOT liars! It is halfway through the season here and let me tell you what.... Things just got even closer!

TYING for 1st place in Senior Honda, KJ and Michael. It was only a 6 point difference one race ago, and now the difference is ZERO! But whose that in the distance? Teo in 3rd place by only 12 points waiting for someone to slip and pounce on 1st place! If one race can change the leader by 6 points, imagine how different this can look in 5 races! Only 12 points back from 3rd sits Grant in 4th, consistent and one big move can change it all! 15 points back in 5th place is Jackson. Followed by 6th place Jesse looking to push his way up the standings. Sitting in 7th is Dillon, making gains and progressing every week and ready to break into the top 5! In 8th we have Mason who missed the first race of the season and has some work to do to get up there with 7th place car of Dillon, but if anyone can do it, Mason can!

So, 5 races left... Who are you betting on for the 2026 Senior Honda Champion?

WHOOOAAAAAA, We're halfway there! Whoaaaaa, 5 More Races till we crown a champion! Or whatever Bon Jovi said in the song!

Points race 5 is complete, and now the race to the championship presented by Norfolk Auto Inc is on! Heres where we stand!

The tie for the lead has been broken! Jack smashed his tie with Cara Madison Racing and leaped himself into 1st place leading by 9 points! We would be kidding ourselves if we said that Cara wasn't still in this fight! 9 points is nothing in a class like this! She did extend her 30 point lead over 3rd place to 38 points!

Now this section, needs its own paragraph... These cars are all under a blanket. In 3rd is Koda. Only 5 points back is Chase who is our biggest mover this week jumping 2 places up in the standings to 4th. It is just 1 point back the Niko though who falls from 3rd to 5th. And just 6 points back from there is Garrett who was tied with Koda for 4th before and now sits in 6th.

Just 14 points back from there is MJ and only 8 points behind is Hayden who holds steady in 8th place again this week. In 9th, only 9 points back from 8th is Logan who slipped from 7th place this week. Coming in with his second win, 10th place Axel is now only 9 points back from 9th place after missing the first 2 races of the year. Coming in 11th, Dakota. While he may have slipped back one place, he has closed the gap to 9th place from 32 points last week to 27 this week.

Anything can happen over the next 5 races. Will we get a surprise champion? Will luck, fate, or hard work have a play in where the positions fall at the end of it all? Join us to find out!

Its going to be a heck of a weekend for Light 160. The halfway point of the season, and drivers will have their hands full trying to earn points! Lets see where we left off after Points Race 4

Grant keeps his lock on first place extending his lead to 21 points. Reid is still knocking at his door for that 1st place position! KJ remains steady in 3rd but loses a little ground on 2nd from 3 points to 6 points. Our biggest mover in the points is Liam! From 6th place to 4th in just 1 week as he scores his second win of the season! Those 2 wins totally eradicated him missing Race 1! Jackson was able to slip past Joey this week for 5th. Joey falls from 4th to 6th. Landin who missed Race 1 as well locks in his 7th place position with the last 4 part time races rounding out 8th-11th!

So what will this weekend hold? Will we see the race for the championship get closer or further spread out? Find out on Sunday!

Sunday (Sunday, Sunday, Sunday)* [in your best monster truck commercial voice with an echo] is points race 5. This marks the halfway mark to our September end. And it marks the moment that anything can happen. Drivers getting the feel for their cars and setups, to even some on track chaos and DNFs to really shake things up! Senior Animal promises to be one of those exciting ones! Heres where we stand after points race 4!

Grant is having a dominating season so far with a large lead of Joey in second place. Michael was able to catapult himself up within 4 points of 2nd place. KJ drops back one position to 4th but only by 3 points. Reid missed race 1 this year, but that is not holding him back, with a win last week he sits in 5th just 12 points behind. 12 points behind Reid is Boogie who also missed race 1. Liam hangs just 3 points behind in 7th after also missing race 1. The remainder of the class has only competed in 2 or less races for the year.

So whose it gonna be? With 5 races to go, can anyone break Grants dominating lead? With 2nd, 3rd, and 4th just 7 points apart, how will the top 5 fill in by the end of the year?

Our Junior Animal Class is always so much fun to watch. And the points race is currently on FIRE! Lets dive in!

Some might call him unstoppable! The ever talented Axel broke his 3 race win streak with a 2nd place finish, that did not hurt his points at ALL! 30 points ahead of the 2nd place Garrett. Garrett was able to extend his lead over Cara Madison Racing to 6 points (but absolutely still in striking distance!) Niko advanced his position this week to tie for that 3rd place position with Cara. Chase sits in 5th but kept himself in contention letting 3rd and 4th place only gain 3 more points this week. MJ has a commanding 6th place position with the tie for 7th place a firm 72 points behind him! The tie for 7th coming from 2 part time drivers and this weeks race winner Adrian and Ryker! In 9th, Hayden who joined the animal division 2 races late, joins the battle and will be right on the tail of everyone as we keep getting deeper into the season!

Where will it all shake down on June 14th? Nobody knows but we sure as heck will all be watching!
