We perform state emissions testing along with regular scheduled maintenance, brake, engine and undercar service. We have the latest Hunter 4 wheel alignment & tire balancing equipment. We specialize in diagnosing check engine lights & getting the most difficult of vehicles through the Connecticut Emissions Program. We also specialize in custom exhaust work. History

hthal (Watertown) and Brian Fischthal (Bantam) opened the Quiet Zone in 1999 when their Dad retired and sold the Meineke Muffler shops we grew up in since 1977. In the years since we have evolved from a "Muffler Shop" to a state of the art repair facility that can compete with any dealership or repair facility as far as quality, knowledge and customer service. We strive every day to offer great service at competitive prices

I have grown up in the auto repair business: My Dad risked everything, sold his NYC taxi cab in 1977 and moved us to Waterbury, Ct. because he purchased a Meineke Muffler Shop. As a 13 year old at the time I used to help out cleaning the shop after school and over time learned the entire business, never doing anything else since then. Dad retired and sold his store in the late 90's my brother and I opened up a couple on our own. While quality automotive repairs are our priority, my specialty has always been giving outstanding customer service and that is where I focus my energy.
