Let’s talk water….did you know water and electronics don’t work to well together? 😬

Case in point….17 Prius C was here at the shop today for some diagnostics. Customer said they drove through some water and after that it wouldn’t start. It was towed here from another shop saying they found moisture near the hybrid inverter.
I installed a new inverter and the car still would not “ready” on. Went through the diagnostics and found the Hybrid Battery Junction Block to be faulty as well. Moisture got in somewhere and shorted these components out. This repair is will cost the customer over $4K dollars.

I think it’s safe to say, this customer will likely choose to take the long way home before driving through water again.

One of the biggest values I’ve always held when it came to fixing cars- was fixing them as if my own family was going to be driving; or riding in them.

2001 Toyota 4Runner in today for a new radiator as well as the timing belt, water pump and thermostat, to fix some coolant leaks it had.

236k miles on it and still runs fantastic. These older Toyotas are solid machines. And I’m just over here doing my best to help keep this one on the road a little while longer.🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

Sorry for not posting much, but it’s been busy over here. And hey, let’s be honest…fixing cars is what I do best, not social media🤣.
Here’s a couple photos of what ive had going on the last couple weeks. Clutch kits, pulling engines, the usual suspension/brake repairs for state inspection and some AC repairs. I even had some young aspiring technicians bring me lunch one day as well.
As always, my family and I appreciate every customer that walks through these doors.

Replacing an AC Condenser on a 17 Ford Explorer today.
Some people wonder why cars are so expensive to repair. Well here you go…
The whole front end has to come off so the part can be removed, which is attached to a whole assembly that consists of the radiator, turbo intercooler and then AC condenser which has the transmission cooler built into it🤦‍♂️.

Toyota 2.4L engine rebuild at the shop this week…this customer was adding a quart of oil roughly every 500 miles. Oil control rings get plugged up with gunk and no longer work as designed. Toyota had a service campaign years ago to fix this issue with redesigned pistons and rings.

Did more of these engine rebuilds than I could count during my career at the dealership. Glad to have another one in the shop as I really enjoyed fixing this engine.

New redesigned pistons and rings, valve seals, bearings and timing components for this one and this engine will run good as new.

Here we go again…another rear subframe on a 2007 RAV4 rusted out.
