Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues,
As many of you know, my career in car sales has taken me on quite a journey, moving from dealership to dealership over the years. This wasn’t just about finding the right fit—it was about exploring different aspects of the business, experiencing the highs and lows of both salaried roles with tiered bonuses and commission-based sales.
While I’ve never been particularly in love with vehicles themselves, the true joy of this job came from the people I had the privilege to meet and help every day. Every customer, every conversation, and every sale was unique, and I am grateful for the hundreds of cars I’ve put on the road and, more importantly, the countless connections I’ve made along the way.
I’m incredibly thankful to have worked with so many amazing people throughout the years. Some I’ve known for a long time, others for only a brief period, but each of you has added something meaningful to my journey. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Fuson Automotive for the opportunities and support they’ve provided. Of all the places I've worked, Fuson Automotive stands out for its atmosphere, integrity, and commitment to doing right by its customers. If you’re in the market for a GM product, I wholeheartedly recommend Fuson Automotive. There are no hidden fees, no unnecessary add-ons—just fair, straightforward business practices. They’ve been in business for over 100 years and, with Dave Fuson's forward-thinking leadership, I have no doubt they’ll be around for the next 100.
Selling cars has brought me plenty of stories, many laughs, and a fair share of challenges. I’ve seen both the best and the worst in people, and I wouldn’t trade any of those experiences—though, I might tweak a few things if I could go back!
Throughout my journey, there’s been a common thread: I’ve always had what it takes to be successful in this industry. Many have seen my potential, but the truth is, I’ve often stood in my own way, getting caught up in my thoughts and doubts. Over time, with some professional help and a lot of introspection, I've come to realize that while I may be a good car salesperson, my heart hasn't been in it for a while. It’s something I’ve done because I could, because opportunities seemed to find me, and because it felt like a practical choice. But no matter where I went or how I tried to shake things up, I couldn’t escape the underlying burnout.
So, it’s time for a change. I’m excited to announce that I’ve enrolled at Ivy Tech to pursue a degree in the IT field. This new direction feels like the right move, and I’m looking forward to diving into new challenges and learning opportunities.
Thank you all for being a part of my journey. I wish you all the best on your paths ahead.
With sincere appreciation,
Your favorite car salesperson,
Brenan Rogers
