🎬🏁 BATTLE AT THE VALLEY: A NIGHT TO REMEMBER 🏁🎬
If you missed Saturday night at Wabash Valley Dragway, you missed a blockbuster.
From the first pair rolling into the beams to the final win light flashing, Battle at the Valley delivered drama, redemption stories, heartbreak, and championship-caliber performances.
🔥 VP Racing Fuels FAST 33
Thirty-six racers arrived with only 32 spots available, leaving two drivers fighting just for the right to enter the show. Every round felt like a championship bout as some of the toughest racers in the Midwest battled under the Terre Haute lights.
When the smoke cleared, it was a final-round showdown between Josh Pickett and Tiffany Busenbark. Both had survived a gauntlet of killers to get there, but it was Tiffany who sealed the deal, parking her dragster in the Winner’s Circle and claiming Fast 33 glory.

The points battle in Pro continues to tighten with every passing weekend.
After a stretch of frustration and near misses, Austin Tewell finally found the magic formula. Round after round, he fought his way through the field and when the dust settled, he stood alone at the top. The victory not only earned him the trophy, but also launched him into the coveted Number One spot in the Pro points standings.
🏆 SUPER PRO
Josh Pickett came heartbreakingly close to capturing Fast 33, but champions don’t stay down for long.
Determined to leave his mark on Battle at the Valley, Pickett climbed back into the white S-10 and went back to work. This time there would be no denying him. After a dominant performance, Josh parked the S-10 in the Winner’s Circle and secured the Super Pro victory.
⚡ SPORTSMAN
The Electric Man has returned to Terre Haute.
Joe Tillman rolled into town looking for a place to park his Tesla. It wasn’t at a charging station—it was in the Winner’s Circle.
Tillman put on an absolute clinic in Sportsman competition, proving once again that consistency wins races. The Tesla was silent, but its performance spoke volumes.
🏍️ MOTORCYCLE
Experience met youth in an exciting final round matchup.
Veteran Bill McCarty aboard his Honda Rebel squared off against rookie Shane Diamond and his supercharged Harley-Davidson.
The rookie came ready to fight, but McCarty’s years of experience paid off when it mattered most as he captured another motorcycle victory. But don’t sleep on Shane Diamond—week after week he’s showing major improvement, and it’s becoming clear that his breakthrough moment is coming.
💨 INDIANA OUTLAW GASSERS
We had the privilege of welcoming our favorite gasser group back to Wabash Valley Dragway, and as always, they put on a show.
The final featured Brian Barnell, better known as “Little Smoke,” taking on Sam Barker, who made the trip all the way from Oklahoma to race with the Hoosiers.
The crowd was on its feet as both drivers staged for the final showdown. When the win light flashed, it was Sam Barker who claimed the victory and hauled the big check back to Oklahoma.
🏆 JR. DRAGSTER
The Wild Man went wild once again.
Twenty-six Junior Dragsters from across the Midwest rolled through the gates Saturday to compete for the prestigious NHRA 75th Anniversary Wally.
After a long day of competition, the home team defended its turf as two local standouts—Kruz Lee and Wyatt Scales—met in the final round.
And once again, “The Wild Man” Wyatt Scales proved why he’s been one of the hottest racers at Wabash Valley Dragway this season. Wyatt captured the Wally, extended his winning streak, and strengthened his grip on the Number One position in the points standings.
❤️ COLES COUNTY DRAGWAY TORNADO RELIEF FUNDRAISER
Racing is a competition on the track, but off the track we’re one family.
Just days before this event, our friends at Cole’s County Dragway suffered significant damage from a tornado. Throughout the weekend, racers, fans, sponsors, and supporters stepped up in a big way.
Through raffles, contests, donations, and fundraisers, together we raised $1,197 for CCD.
A special shoutout goes to Austin Tewell, who won the 50/50 raffle and then donated the entire $300 right back to the cause.
That’s what this sport is all about.
