Its coming!! Can not wait for the Manual Nismo Z!!
The Nissan Z NISMO is finally getting the feature enthusiasts have demanded for years: a proper manual transmission. After originally launching the NISMO model exclusively with an automatic gearbox, Nissan has officially confirmed that a six-speed manual version is now joining the lineup, transforming the Z NISMO into an even more driver-focused performance machine.
At the heart of the Z NISMO remains Nissan’s twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter VR30DDTT V6 engine, producing 420 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. Power continues to be sent to the rear wheels, preserving the classic front-engine, rear-wheel-drive formula that has defined the Z lineage for decades.
But Nissan didn’t stop at simply adding a clutch pedal. Engineers revised multiple components specifically for the manual-equipped NISMO. Reports confirm the car receives a reinforced clutch setup, revised transmission hardware, updated throttle mapping, suspension refinements, and steering improvements designed to deliver sharper response and a more connected driving feel.
Track-focused upgrades continue throughout the car. The Z NISMO features larger GT-R-derived brake hardware, wider wheels, aggressive aerodynamic revisions, stiffer chassis tuning, and performance-focused Dunlop tires developed to improve grip and braking stability under demanding driving conditions.
Inside, the cabin keeps its race-inspired personality with Recaro sport seats, NISMO-specific displays, a digital instrument cluster, and the iconic trio of analog performance gauges mounted across the dashboard. The new manual transmission adds an extra layer of engagement that many enthusiasts felt was missing from the original NISMO release.
For sports car fans who still value mechanical connection, driver involvement, and the thrill of shifting gears themselves, the manual Z NISMO represents the return of pure analog excitement in a modern performance coupe.
