What's Included with a Wheel Alignment Service?

First, we’ll use state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to see if your wheels meet your vehicle manufacturer’s precise alignment specifications. If it turns out you need an alignment, we’ll:
Make front-end and/or rear-end mechanical alignment adjustments
Verify that your new alignment readings meet your vehicle manufacturer's specifications (if applicable)

What is the Importance of a Wheel Alignment?

Proper wheel alignment creates a smoother ride by minimizing steering pull and vehicle wander. It also can save you hundreds of dollars on replacing tires due to premature tread wear.

How Often Should You Get an Alignment?

Most manufacturers recommend getting a
3-axle alignment at least once a year. Other times you may need a 3-axle or front-end alignment include:

When installing a new set of tires
After hitting a bad pothole or steep curb

General Description:

As a Goodyear Truck Care Level 2 Technician, you will work at a Goodyear Truck Care Center which is an "on-highway" location providing light mechanical service and tire service to the Commercial Trucking industry.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Performing all mechanical work on commercial highway trucks and trailers including:
DOT Inspection
Electrical Wiring & Lights
Alignment
Exhaust
Brakes & Air System
Driveline & Suspension
Air Conditioning
Engine Cooling & Radiator
Fuel System
Must be willing and able to perform on-call service as needed
Stocking tires and other areas as needed.
Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, including commercial tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting
Providing "Service Excellence - Always" to meet the service goals of the location and of customers.
Basic Requirements:

Must have a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle required for the position and be able to meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
No relocation is being offered for this position.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:

Tools required for the job
High School Diploma or GED
At least two years of previous commercial truck service
Candidate Criteria:

Strong oral and written communication ability.
Commitment to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
Must be a self-starter and willing to take initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision, and be willing to attend appropriate training sessions

A person was hit and killed on Interstate 24 while trying to repair a semi-truck that had broken down.

As a Goodyear Level 1 Technician you will work in a Goodyear Commercial Tire and Service Center which is an "on-highway" location providing light mechanical service and tire service to the Commercial Trucking industry. The qualified individual must be willing and able to drive a service vehicle to where a customer is having a problem, and be able to repair or replace their tire(s) or perform light mechanical service as needed. Job duties may be performed at the location, at customer locations and on service calls on the side of a highway.
This position may be scheduled to work shifts including: days, typically beginning at 7:00 AM; evenings beginning at 3:00 PM.
This job pays a base hourly wage and an additional commission based on service labor sales.
This position operates in all types of indoor and outdoor work environments, therefore exposure to heat and cold is to be expected.
Excellent safety and attendance performance is expected.

REQUIREMENTS

-Must be willing to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
-Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.

-Must possess a mechanical aptitude.

-Torque wrench 1½" drive.Good oral and written communication ability.

-Must be able to pass a background check including employment history, SSN verification, criminal history, etc.Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug test.
