Key requirements include using Genuine GM parts, specialized tools (e.g., 9,200 lb. frame rack, BSR rivet gun), and undergoing regular audits.

Key GM Certification Requirements:
Training & Certification: Technicians must complete specialized training (e.g., I-CAR) and stay updated on GM-approved repair procedures, including specialized training for Electric Vehicles (BEV).
Tools & Equipment: Shops must have certified tools such as a 9,200 lb. frame rack, 3-stage hoist (15,000 lbs), aluminum welding equipment, wet-mix dust extraction systems, and specialized scanning tools capable of generating GM GDS2 reports.
Structural & Aluminum Capability: High-strength steel and aluminum repair capabilities are required, often requiring specific welders and rivet guns.

Key Criteria for Lexus Certified Collision Centers
Technician Training: Technicians must complete rigorous training through the Lexus Certification Program, focusing on specialized repair techniques and advanced technologies.
Genuine Parts & Tools: Centers must use Lexus Genuine Parts and adhere to factory-approved, state-of-the-art diagnostic and repair equipment to ensure vehicle safety, structural integrity, and resale value.
