Motorcycles at the Biltwell 100 come in all shapes, sizes, and configurations. Earlier this year, Biltwell Product Manager Erik “Westy” Westergaard wondered, “How would a budget ADV bike fare in the Mojave Desert?”
That daydream became reality when he contacted Moto Morini and got his grubby hands on an X-Cape 650. A couple months later, armed with nothing but dad-level confidence, off-the-shelf upgrades, zero testing and even less training– he and the bike were ready to race.
