I made this post back in 2021. I’m posting it as a reminder. ❤️ this kid has the heart of a lion 🦁

Tickets?..sure we had many. Plates yeah we got more than a few too. This is what we don’t have pictures of. Injuries, crashes, bike failures, anxiety attacks, verbal fights, failure to perform, expectations not met, etc.

2 things to remember

1) Emotions are the worst advisors.
Step back remove emotions and look at the numbers and facts. Reflect on the positive and put together plans to fix what can be better. Make lists and check boxes

2)Loretta’s doesn’t matter.
Unless you go win in dominating fashion it probably won’t get you life changing sponsorship. What does matter is skill building and desire to win. Don’t let your ego or pride let you forget why you are racing. It doesn’t make you less of a racer if you didn’t get the “ticket”. Just like the 90 percent of you that are feeling a certain way after leaving a regional 90 percent of the people leaving with a ticket will leave Lorettas with the same feeling you have. It’s all relative. Nobody is on an island.
