Dan has hung up his torches so you will see Serusa Welding has permanently closed. It’s been a ride for sure, we’ve met some amazing people, had some contractors become friends, and fabricated some WILD stuff! If you know you know!
But it’s time I’ve watched this man work like a damn animal for most of his years! The eyes are struggling a bit more and the back well let’s just say, “I don’t believe the body is supposed to work quite that hard!”
It’s going to take some adjusting to I am sure but we’ve seen too much that tomorrow is not promised.

Had some guests this past weekend from Raleigh, in town for a family wedding. What a sweet couple! Here’s the summary I was left in the guest book.
At The Buggy Barn, we enjoyed sitting on the porch having breakfast and reading. We loved how cozy and modern the house felt. We loved kicking back and watching shows together. Outside of wedding festivities, we explored downtown Hickory. Back at The Buggy Barn , we loved the outside shower and the resort quality robes! We felt so fancy! We also loved meeting Beth and the dogs.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Biggy Barn. We were curious about how small the house would be, but it felt so big and comfortable. Beth and Dan did an amazing job creating this space and leaving out nothing! We so appreciated the hospitality and the little B & B extras like snacks, drinks, and other necessities in the kitchen. Beth chatted with us upon arrival and was so kind. One of our favorite parts of the trip was seeing Magoo (the dog) running across the yard as we pulled in. He escorted us up to the Barn and let us love on him. We have 4 dogs at home so we will take all the puppy snuggles we can get!
Thank you Beth & Dan for making this a weekend we will never forget! We hope to be back real soon

This is a first for Serusa Welding! Best of luck always Mayfield’s!

Got to Dominion Raceway in Spotsylvania Virginia early Friday afternoon . I felt like we had a really really good car especially being our first time out with this car. Couldn’t wait til Saturday. Had some pretty decent times out old tires in the short practices we had .Changed a few things , just wanted to see what the car would do with some minor adjustments . Qualified 4th out of a good Grand National Super Series field. Wish I had one more practice before qualifying I would have changed a little bit more to pick up some more speed. I thought we were going to be a little better than what we were . Lowered pressures for the race, so I was bottoming out once the race started. Fell back a few spots to settle in and let the pressures build . Just riding, the car was getting better every single lap. I got behind the 77 and he got into the wall coming off 4 and he chased it all the way down the front stretch. He got into the 30 car, they go spinning up the track, I miss the 77. I thought I had the 30 missed but he came back down the track. I clipped the inside wall trying to miss him with the left front which bent the steering, ball joints etc. The impact knocked everything to the right. We hustled and did the best we could to get it fixed for the 2nd race.When we started the 2nd race and it was just terrible from the wreck. Although we didn’t get the results we wanted i’m excited about the car and I’m looking forward to the race at Carteret County Speedway in few weeks.
