🚫 Don’t Drink and Drive — Lives Depend on It

Every year, hundreds of people in Michigan are seriously injured or killed in crashes involving drunk drivers.
In 2023 alone, 9,328 alcohol-involved crashes occurred in our state — 303 of them were fatal.

Driving under the influence isn’t just dangerous — it’s a serious crime.
• .08% BAC or higher: You’re legally intoxicated in Michigan.
• First offense: Up to 93 days in jail, $500 fine, and license suspension.
• Causing injury or death: Felony charges, years in prison, and a lifetime of regret.

It’s simple — if you’ve been drinking, don’t drive.
Call a friend, rideshare, or a cab. One bad decision can change lives forever.

Distracted Driving Destroys Lives 💀🚗

In Michigan alone last year:
📱 15,441 crashes were caused by distracted driving.
⚠️ 5,905 injuries resulted.
💔 57 people were killed.

It only takes a second of looking down to change a life forever.
Keep your eyes on the road — not on your phone.

1️⃣ Park close — but don’t let the cars touch.
2️⃣ Turn both cars off and pop the hoods.
3️⃣ Find the battery terminals: Red = + (Positive), Black = – (Negative).
4️⃣ Connect in this order:
🔴 Red clamp → dead battery +
🔴 Red clamp → good battery +
⚫ Black clamp → good battery –
⚫ Last black clamp → clean metal on dead car (NOT the battery).
5️⃣ Start the good car, wait a minute, then start the dead car.
6️⃣ Once it starts, carefully remove clamps in reverse order.
💡 Tip: Keep the jumped car running for 15–30 minutes to recharge.
🚫 Never let the clamps touch each other.
🚫 If the battery is cracked or leaking — don’t try it!
Stay safe — and if sparks fly, make sure it’s not like this! 💀⚡

Terrible, a Semi-Truck Driver was not keeping their eyes on the road.

A fiery crash late Saturday night on I-96 resulted in the deaths of four people and injured more than a dozen others.
