Deepest comment I've ever read goes out to Sam Jones. Read it. Everyone can relate, and it's deep, man.
" Bmx riding is an underestimated sport most people don't understand. why so many riders have such a passion for somthing as simple as riding a bike. they think we would be better off spending our time practicing to be on the football team, or something they belive would create a better life for us. those people don't understand what riding is all about. the will to fall numerous times and accepting the risk of injuring themselves just to land a certain trick, or win a certain race. riding gives us a different perspective on life, but its not just about riding in general. its about its all about the people you meet, and the things you get to see and experience. because bmx makes life worth living. it gives an individual the need and power to achieve what they want out of the sport. whether it be to win contests and become famous, or the will to drive for hours just to ride a certain park or spot. I've seen kids with adhd just sit in silence thinking about an upcoming race or run. if only you had a glimpse of what's going through their minds, you would know that it is no joke. sometimes the cost is pricey and there may be a lot risk. but we know that if we are successful, it is totally worth that risk. the unique thing about the sport is there are no coaches, no rules, or guidelines that can hold you back. its just you and your bike. you can be wherever you want to be. There's nobody to tell you what you can or cannot do. its called freedom. its amazing, the atmosphere, the sport has all the lifelong friends you can make just because everyone is family in a way and also all the people you can meet from all over the world. mostly because we all share the same common bond, or live the same dream. bmx riders have that different lifestyle. its hard to explain to an individual outside of the sport why we love it so much. they would need to experience it themselves to understand that riding bmx is somtimes the greatest feeling in the world.
Wise words of Roy winkleman from pivotal productions."
