Today, he’s living it in Charleston, South Carolina, aboard his 2014 Gause 26—from fishing the creeks to offshore runs and sandbar days with his brother and friends. 💙

Yamaha ➡️ Mercury 🔄

This Gause Built came in for more than just a repower — making the switch meant cleaning up everything left behind from the previous Yamaha setup.

Our team handled the fiberglass work to fill the old switch locations in the upper station, repair the console where the Yamaha wiring and components had been, and complete a Power-Pole delete.

The result? A clean, fresh setup ready for its new Mercury power!

Sometimes a repower is more than swapping motors — it’s making the entire boat look like it was built that way from day one.

Pics of the 23’ from yesterday 🏁

She hit the water for a preliminary sea trial to test a few components and make sure everything is performing exactly as it should — but she’s not finished yet!

From here, she’s heading back into rigging where the crew will install the remaining pieces, finish up the details, and get everything dialed in.

Then it’ll be time for the final sea trial and the full completed reveal. 🔥

And we have to say… even unfinished she’s a beauty
