DALE B's 1966 OLDS 442 A/C HEATER BOX (2 of 2)

This unit was in pretty bad condition with some missing parts.

The entire unit was dismantled to repair a fair amount of fiberglass damage. Once the fiberglass repairs were made to the outer portion of the unit, it was refinished and new gaskets were installed on the mode door. The inner housing was bead-blasted and painted, and a new aluminum heater coil was installed. Linkage from a parts unit was installed.

Back at it trying to get my 68 Firebird road worthy again. I've owned this for almost 40 years and this might be the first time in at least 10 years this car has been running. Planning on upgrading the alternator, next. Also working on wrappping up the interior, and will be posting more videos over the next few days.

The biggest flaw in my car is the nut holding the steering wheel!

Just finished up this 67 Mustang/Cougar a/c heater control.

The fan/blower speed & vacuum mode switches have been acid cleaned/dipped, lubricated and tested to function like new. Flapper door is intact & pliable. Levers & switch plate have been bead-blasted and zinc-plated. All levers slide freely. This control works exactly as it should; fully bench tested after rebuilt.

Cosmetically, the control is in clean condition, but does have some minor pitting. The vent louver is snug, and rotates easily. White lettering is in nice condition. Look at the pictures as they are a very fair representation of this part. Ready to install & use.

This is unpainted face, typically used on deluxe interiors, but can still be used with any interior with the addition of the pebble-finish insert on the top edge and painting the face black, if desired.

Correct for 1967 Ford Mustang & Mercury, but fit and function is the same for 1968 models, with no modification. It's just a bit different cosmetically.
