Made some more progress on the lean-to. Just 2.5 sheets aways from being done.

I decided to install some windows as I cover the side of the lean-to on the shop. That was not a part of the original plans so I had to make some adjustments.

Here is the plan for the next move on the GTI. We're going to get the hood and front bumper back on then start taping up all the openings to begin sanding the GTI.

Race car build update! 🏁

I’ve got the Airdout.com fuse and relay panel ready to go in the GTI race car, and now I need to decide where it lives. It’s going to have a LOT of wires running to and from it (lights, fuel pump, fans, ignition, data, and more), so the spot matters.

Here’s what I’m weighing:

Close to the battery to keep the high-current runs short
Away from heat, water, and fuel
Easy to reach in the pits when something needs a quick fix
Room for clean wire routing and labeling

My top options right now are the passenger footwell, behind the dash, and the rear near the battery. Where would you put it, and what would you do differently? If you’ve made a wiring mistake you wish you could undo, I want to hear it! 👇

Finishing up the lean-to on the shop. I'm putting in windows. Decided to install windows in the lean-to of the shop. I've never installed windows before so wish me luck.

🏁 VW Race Car Build Update 🏁

It's been a while since the very first time I shared this project, so here's a quick catch-up for everyone following along!

All the brakes and suspension are DONE. Here's what's already on the car:
🔧 Wilwood front big brake kit
🔧 Audi TT RS rear big brake upgrade
🔧 Custom braided brake lines with bias valves
🔧 H&R coilovers
🔧 H&R sway bars

Getting the car to stop and handle right was the top priority, and with that foundation complete, it's time to move on to the next phase: [next step].
