Usually, when we buy a new calibration target, it sits for almost a year before we get to use it, but not this time!

We got a call yesterday to calibrate the front AVM camera on a 2026 Nissan Rogue. When the call (text actually) came in, we still hadn't received the new target set we had ordered a week ago, so we declined the job. About 10 minutes later, we got a call telling us that the targets would be delivered in about an hour. So, we got back to our client and luckily, they hadn't lined up another service. Took a little bit of time to lay out, but we got it done before the end of the day.

We were called out to Liberty Ford Collision to calibrate the forward radar on this 2018 Passat. Got the target/fixture in place, but the process failed, with a no target detected message. After getting the grille removed, we found that the radar module had been installed backwards. Got that corrected, checked and corrected the physical aim, and attempted the calibration again. The process was successful and we were on our way to the next job!

Stepping up our game a little 😎

Our friends at Prestige Automall called us on this 2015 Rolls Royce Wraith. There was a warning message in the dash for the adaptive cruise/collision avoidance system. A quick health scan showed no communication with the acc radar. Their technicians removed the front fascia and found that the radar was damaged.

They managed to source a replacement at a reasonable price, installed it, and reinstalled the fascia. We returned to finish the job by coding the module and performing the calibration procedure. There were just a couple of minor bumps in the learning curve for this one, but all in all, not a bad first run at a Rolls.

Just a typical set of post repair calibrations on this one...

2024 Honda CRV came to us after front collision repairs. It was a structural repair, so Honda requires the front radar and lane camera be calibrated, as well as the passenger seat weight sensor initialization and weight verification operations be completed.

Haven't done one of these in a little while.....

This 2025 Lexus TX350 came to us for calibration of the rear AVM camera after rear collision repairs were completed. Takes a little while to get the layout work done, but overall, not a bad job!

We were called out to look at this 2021 Nissan Sentra. The customer complaint was that the lane departure warning was behaving erratically. We did a quick health scan, and found no faults that were related to any of the ADAS systems. Moving on to the visual inspection, we found that the glass in front of the lane camera was exceptionally dirty. We removed the camera and cleaned the glass, then performed the camera calibration to verify that the camera could see clearly now. All good!

This one was a first time visit from CSix Autobody in Akron.

After front collision repairs, the front radar required a calibration to complete the required operations. We set up the calibration target and got the radar calibrated without issue. Next!

Another straightforward post repair calibration.

This 2025 Audi Q7 came to us after the body shop had repaired the right side of the car, including replacing the the outside mirror. As usual, if a component containing a camera is replaced, a calibration is required. We positioned the calibration targets successfully calibrated the AVM system, and got this one back to the bodyshop in about an hour!

This 2017 Honda CRV came to us for an ACC/FCA radar calibration after front end collision repairs. Nothing too fancy here, just a slight adjustment to get it back in spec, and finish the calibration. A quick road test confirms the radar is working as designed, and this one is headed back to the body shop for delivery.

We don't get a lot of Mitsubishis in, but this was the 2nd one we had in last week.

This 2023 Eclipse Cross came to us after front end collision repairs. The front avm camera image was not lining up or "stitched" correctly, so it needed a calibration. Got out the Mitsu targets and the MUTIII SE scan tool to perform the calibration routine. The hardest part was getting the mats to lay flat since we rarely use them and they stay rolled up in a tube!

One last reminder.... We'll be closed all next week for vacation, so we'll see you again on Monday 12/29.
