It is nice to see this taking off again. I remember when the local dealers name was on on the local little league sports teams!!

An Alabama dealership is slashing the cost for local children to play baseball, football and other sports to $25.

Howard Bentley Buick-GMC created Drive to Play, a program in partnership with the city of Albertville, to make recreational opportunities more affordable for families. The previous cost was $150 for football and cheerleading, and $110 for soccer, basketball, softball, baseball and T-ball.

There are no residency limitations or eligibility restrictions for the $25 registration price, which begins this fall. It’s intended to be a long-term initiative that goes well beyond the upcoming year.
