⚠️ HARLEY-DAVIDSON RIDERS: CHECK YOUR BIKE ⚠️
Harley-Davidson has announced a major recall affecting nearly 90,000 motorcycles due to a defect that could cause engine oil to spray from the bike and potentially injure riders.
According to federal safety regulators, the issue involves a blocked breather port that can allow pressure to build up inside the engine's crankcase. If a rider removes the dipstick while that pressure is present, hot oil could be forced out of the fill spout, creating a serious safety hazard.
The recall impacts several 2024–2026 Touring, Cruiser, and other Harley-Davidson models equipped with specific airbox components. Dealers will inspect the affected motorcycles and make any necessary repairs at no cost to owners.
This comes only weeks after Harley-Davidson issued another recall involving nearly 17,000 motorcycles for a potential rear brake failure issue.
If you own a newer Harley, now is a good time to check your VIN with your local dealer or through NHTSA recall records to see if your bike is affected.
No matter what you ride, safety always comes first. Stay informed, stay alert, and keep the rubber side down. 🏍️
The recall affects approximately 88,000 motorcycles from model years 2024–2026 and involves a crankcase pressure issue that can force oil out when the dipstick is removed. Dealers are providing inspections and repairs free of charge
