A bad capacitor was what was keeping this unit from cooling. A lot of times the entire unit does not need to be replaced, only the parts that are bad. What I do is find out what is actually bad. I don’t like guessing.

Continued work on refrigerator installation. Riser platform constructed from 2x4 lumber and 1/4” plywood. I reused as much of the trim from the original refrigerator to make things look nice. I am certain my customer will be pleased.

RV customer wanting a residential refrigerator to replace the ammonia leaking rv refrigerator. The new fridge is slightly smaller and will need some custom trim work to make things look “wife worthy”. The old vents needed to be insulated and sealed to keep the conditioned air inside the rv and not leaking out of the now non used vents. I repurposed the styrofoam from the new refrigerator and the old fiberglass insulation to seal and insulate the 3 vents on both of the refrigerator vent panels. These steps need to be properly done to make things the right way. Tasks like these require time and will pay off when the job is finished. For those of you thinking of doing a residential install in your RV keep in mind, there is a lot more to do than just removing the old unit, capping off the propane feed and plugging the unit in.

48 Volt Golf Carts are the subject for today. This one had no connector on the battery charge port which is not safe and may cause a fire. That problem corrected with a nice connector and the hydraulic crimp tool so it stays in place!! The next issue was no battery monitor. The owner had no way to tell how much charge was in her electric golf cart. Voltage gauge is now installed and working as designed.
