Comparing two very similar work engine combinations.

466" ford vs. 460" BBC
9.2 to 1 vs. 9.1 to 1
Dished vs. Flat tops
93 cc's vs. 110 cc's
Corrected pro comps vs. Eddy Performer heads
Performer vs. RPM airgap
213/227-10 vs. 213/227-11
Dura-spark dizzy vs. MSD dizzy
38* TT vs. 40* TT
560 torque vs. 534 torque
446.2 vs. 449.7 Hp.

On the 460 platform the RPM intake gives up a couple down low for about 5 up top in this mild state of tune.
We've not tested the BBC with a performer.
It is in my opinion reasonable to think the comparisons would be similar.

This comparo simply reinforces my belief that when built similarly both platforms behave comparably.

552 tq 3700 / 516 hp @ 5300

Given the modest cam timing and overall build specs I felt this combination was pretty respectable.

It left with an MDS distributor BTW. 😆😆😆

10 to 1 540 BBC 640 tq and 629+ hp @ 5700.
AFR enforcer heads and Weiand stealth rect. port intake. 242 / 252 HR cam.
Client designed and assembled.

9.6 to 1 427 BBC. 463 tq and 433 hp 5300 rpm.
This was an odd duck that came in after another shop couldn't finish the build. Billy G. Saved the day.

Feedback "After" reading my First comment !!!
Given increasing demand I've been working on a "Kit" for converting the EFI 460 over to a Carburetor. The kit would be inclusive & include:
HP EFI carb adapter kit with gaskets, hardware and injector b**g cups.
600 cfm QF carb single inlet.
Custom curved dura-spark OR custom curved all in one billet distributor.
Return style regulator and fluid filled gauge.
Throttle cable bracket
Fuel pump controller that will 3 second prime and run the pumps via the relay.
EFI rated fuel hose and clamps plus barbed 3/8" npt fittings.

Dyno pull & Idle video at 16.7" hg. 525-530 tq and 404 hp best.
9.1 466 EFI Crate Engine fine tuned for high altitude torque.
We sacrificed a bit at the top for more under the torque peak.

Ran a SBC 383 for Darren Cope. 475 tq / 467 hp 6000
10.5 to 1. Single plane Eddy. Brodix IK heads. Comp HR 230 / 236 @ .050"
750 HP DP carb. Eddy 600 pulled 2.2" HG at WOT and was down 21 hp.
