There is a reason the Porsche 911 silhouette has barely changed in over sixty years. The G Series proved the formula worked.
Built between 1973 and 1989, the G Series introduced impact bumpers to meet new safety regulations while preserving the unmistakable 911 shape. Beneath the rear deck lid lived Porsche’s air cooled flat six engine, evolving through the years to a 3.2 liter powerhouse producing about 231 horsepower in the Carrera.
With near perfect weight balance for a rear engine layout and a reputation for sharp driver feedback, the G Series became one of the most respected generations in Porsche history.
It is a machine that captures the essence of mechanical driving. Precise, purposeful, and unmistakably Porsche.
