I want to be clear about something regarding appointments. When you make an appointment and simply don’t show up, that’s extremely disrespectful of my time. I could have had another customer scheduled, or I could have planned that time around my family and my kids.
Things happen.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, just give me a heads-up. I have no problem with that. What I have a problem with is a no-call, no-show.
The first time, I’ll understand and give you the benefit of the doubt.

The second time, you’re starting to get on my nerves. The third time, I’m no longer scheduling appointments for you.
At that point, you can drop the vehicle off, and I’ll get to it when I have the time. It will no longer be a priority, and there will be an additional charge for the inconvenience and time wasted. I’ll call it the “asshole fee.”

I respect my customers’ time, and I expect the same respect in return. I’m running a business, not sitting around waiting for people who may or may not show up.

Thankfully I had two vehicle's show up, NOT on my appointments and they were both a "get to them when you can" ordeal. It turned a almost wasted day into two jobs getting knocked sooner than later. They say some things happen for a reason and today definitely feels like that and I am Grateful 🙏.

Thank you to those who keep their appointments or give me a heads that they need to cancel. I appreciate you 🫶🫶🫶.

Customer complaint is that the blower motor doesnt always work on other settings except high. This is a common issue and usually point to the blower motor resistor needing replaced. On these F250 trucks, ford had the good idea of putting this blower motor resistor in between the firewall and hvac box. So you have to pull the dash out and hvac box to replace it.

Customer also had an A/C leak and after adding uv dye and filling up the system, it actually lasted an entire year before running out, which makes this a micro leak (very hard to find). spent lots of time looking everywhere i could to find this leak, but because the leak was coming from the evaporator core, I could not see it. At 200k miles and because we needed to replace the blower motor resistor i recommended we replace it. Doesnt add much more to labor and customer is just paying for the part. Thankfully i was correct (see video) and was able to knock out two birds with one stone.

Vehicle is back together, A/C is blowing nice and cold 🥶 ☃️ 🧊 on all blower settings. 👌👌👌👌🤌🤌🤌

Customer kept dealing with oil and coolant leaks for a long time. Finally had enough and got most of the leaks fixed. These Chevy cruze love going coming to see the mechanic.

Oil was leaking from the valve cover and oil cooler/filter housing. Very common on Chevy ecotec engines.

The coolant leaks were coming from some of the coolant lines coming off the turbo and the water pump.

Customer chose to do the oil filter housing, valve cover, and the coolant lines coming off the turbo. We did replace the turbo oil return line with a metal one vs the oem plastic because it came out in pieces from being brittle. We will do the water pump at a later time.

After replacing everything the customer wanted done. Performed an oil change and topped off the coolant.

Verified no leaks were present from anybody the newly installed parts, but we still have that water pump to do later.

Customer just purchased this vehicle and wanted it checked out. Heard some noises and had water leaking into the rear cargo area.

Verified the noise was coming from the electric hydraulic powersteering pump. This is already pretty noisy, but it sounded slightly louder than normal. It however is still functioning and working just fine. This part is extremely expensive all by itself, just shy of $2k. We decided to just turn the radio up a little more for this repair 😆👌. If it gets worse or the power assist steering starts to go out, we will revisit this repair.

The water leak was due to a grommet plug for the third brake light getting ripped. So it would no longer stay in place to keep water from flooding the upper plastic trim and headliner. We would need a very specific grommet to replace this one and so in a pinch I used JB weld plastic puddy and silicone to seal this grommet back into place. Both can be removed to replace the grommet piece in the future, but this will at least keep water from coming in.

During the inspection I found a massive oil leak covering the transmission and back side of the engine. Of course its coming from the typical oilcooler/filter housing. If you drive any mopar 3.6l, you should inspect these every oil change for a possible leak. They're that common of an issue.

We removed the old oil filter housing and installed the upgraded all metal one. Someone was clearly in here before me, as there were alot of brackets left loose, missing, locking tabs broken/missing, and wire hold down broken. They even left one of the bolts for the old oil cooler loose (probably why it started leaking). 👎👎

After replacing the oil filter housing we went ahead and replaced the spark plugs as well. Customer made a good decision to have them both done at the same time to save money. Since we already have the intake off it costs alot less to replace spark plugs now rather than do them later and by the looks of those plugs. It wouldn't be much later. 👍👍

This customer came back after getting a control arm and axle replaced. I noticed how rotted out their oil pan was and recommended we replace as soon as they can. After a couple weeks they returned to have the job done and it was just in time. During the oil pan removal, the pan actually started to leak from one of the rust spot, which if that happened while driving, could have potentially harmed the engine if gone unnoticed.

Its interesting how in today's world, that l**e techs dont recommend things like this anymore during an oil change. How long was this pan looking rusty and crusty and no one servicing her vehicle ever told her about it. Back when I started we tried to upsell anything everything we found wrong a customers vehicle before they became a major problem. Doesnt seem to be like that anymore.

All jokes aside, when I say im here to build a relationship with my customers on a personal level. This is a good example, because I am not an autobody tech. This is something I was asked to try, just to get more time out of this vehicle until a replacment can be purchased.

I wouldn't even attempt this for a stranger, but for this person, I wanted to help. Customer sourced the doors and fender, I just needed to pull of the old and bolt on the new. Helpful tip for anyone that tries this, get the door brackets 🙏🙏🙏. I had to use the old ones and they were bent. It was straight up not a good time 😤.

Not going to win a beauty contest, but its functional 💪💪💪. I like to call jobs like this, better than it was repair 👀👀😆

Customer came in because vehicle had no power on acceleration. Upon inspection, found the vehicle was severely lacking engine oil which caused issues with the cam phasers, they could not advance timing or re**rd properly without adequate oil pressure. We found the typical engine oil cooler housing was leaking and needed replacement.

We also noticed the coolant was very low and found the radiator was also leaking.

Customer wanted both replaced, but during the radiator replacment we found the main core support for the radiator was damaged. 😱 Possibly by running over something in the road or maybe hitting one of those cement blocks you see at a stop and go. As the core support and part of the subframe was damaged. 🥲

Since this was an unforseen issue that both me and the customer didnt know about until after the bumber was removed, we had to figure out how to make this work. I used a plastic weld repair tool, with metal wire mesh and plastic fill to re-attach the core support and then used JB weld to reinforce it so it can hold the radiator as it was designed. It turned out great, but there was another support that we found was also broken. Thankfully that piece is bolted on, much smaller, and can be replaced. For now we attached that one as best we could also, but it should be replaced in the future.

We were able to finish this job with a new upgraded metal oil cooler housing, a new radiator, fresh oil change, new coolant, and we even upgraded the headlights to LED while we were in there.

Verified that the oil leak and coolant leak was no longer present and the vehicle drove fine with plenty of power. 👌👌👌

Customer came in for rear shocks because his were blown out and made a terrible noise over bumps. While here, he asked about getting his front two windows tinted 35%.

Now i am a mechanic first and do window tint as a hobbie. I am no pro, there will be mistakes and its not perfect. This is why I am cheaper, but still use premium window tint (nanotechnology ceramic tint). Customer still opted to have it done and was happy with the results 👌👌👌

Shocks fixed the noise and made the ride much more smooth 😎

Customer came in with a loud exhaust noise. They thought it was their muffler, unfortunately it was a hole between the downstream catalytic convertor and two upstreams.

Tried to weld the holes back up for them to save money, but even on the lowest setting my welder just kept blowing bigger holes. So we ended up replacing it. Gave customer the old convertor to send in for a $75 refund or to take to any local scrap yard for the cash. Im sure most shops keep them themselves, but not us. We always give our customers back their old parts.

Vehicle was nice and quite after this repair 👌

Customer requested I replace front and rear pads+rotors, front wheel bearings, rear shocks, check the oil pan for damage, perform vehicle diag/inspection for random stalling issue.

Since customer paid the diag and vehicle inspection I did look his vehicle over before replacing the requested parts. There were some things the customer needed, didn't need, and didn't know about.

We did replace the front pads + rotors and the front wheel bearings for a low grind that Grew louder with speed. The rear brakes had alot of life left so customer saved money on not replacing them. Rear shocks did need replaced, passenger rear was blown out (see photo) and you do them in pairs. Not just one side

Customer did not know his front struts were also leaking and needed replaced, saved for next time. Customer did need his lower oil pan replaced due to an impact damage and rust issues. Performed and oil change too. Customer did not know that their engine has been leaking for a long time from the valve cover and the engine oil was low. Recommended a new valve cover gasket and extensive engine degrease. Saved for a later time.

Was unable to verify customer stalling issue and there were no codes or check engine light to point me in what may be the cause. Vehicle stalls after coming to a stop after driving for about an hour. After doing some research into this issue most other mechanics reported that a dirty mass airflow sensor and throttlebody body can cause this issue. Offered a cleaning service to the customer with the possibility that it may or may not fix this issue and they agreed to have it done. Throttlebody body was very dirty (see photo). So far I have not heard back if the stalling issue is fixed or not.
