Sorry we havn't updated the race page in a while.. Been very busy keeping race cars ready and shop going. We had a great time this past weekend at Tri-County Speedway, Granite Falls NC. I believe it is now one of my favorite racetracks even though it defeated us , we cant wait to go back. It was a very clean facility with a super smooth racing surface and tremendous track workers. We are really enjoying racing with the Grand National Super Series. Love the cars, and all the drivers & crew have been like a big family. We have had a gremlin last few races, couple fenders knocked in and fighting a super tight racecar. Luckily we don;t have to hammer no fenders out this week and gives us oppertunity to work on set-up a little more. Thank You Bob & Patty Schacht, Aj Henrickson and all those involved to make the Grand National Super Series happen and hopefully more to get involved. We also thank all our sponsors that help make this happen for us, Engineered Component Co (ECC) , Jeff Baily at Southern Glass, Bill Owens "Owens Transport", Tyler,Jessica, Tony, Nicole & Max at Rooms Unlimited Cedar Point, and of coarse the family, friends, employees here at Racing Realty USA, Brin & Co , & Boss Muscle cars that work everyday to keep the shop & business going. #18, All dressed up & no where to go... The Grand National Super Series race for this weekend was postponed until end of May due to unfavorable weather forecast... so next race is at Southern National, Kenley NC.. 2 weeks. Hope to see you there.

We are excited to get back to some racing this year.. We will not be running the Late Model stock, well maybe sometime but it will be later. Chris is running the Grand National Super series with the first race coming up in 2 weeks at Dominion Speedway in VA. Jeremy Mayfield is running the #19, so we are in the process of choosing a new number , and sponsor decals to go on this week hopefully. We are happy to be part of the Grand National Super Series and looking forward to a great season.

Wasnt the race weekend we wanted.. But we know you cant sit out for nearly 2 seasons then expect to be on top with the best in the business. We still had a great time racing. The whole field of 20 cars qualified with-in 3 tenths of a second.. that says a lot for this series. I know we have a great driver, great engine & Builder, great car. It only takes 1 adjustment to take you out of contention. Hated that all the people that showed up to support us didnt get to cheer us to the front.. but those front cars did put a show on the last few laps. Congrats to Butterbean on the win. well Done. Thank you to Anthony & Tonya Goodyear and the CARS Tour group. The officials treated us great, Tech was great and it truly showed . We dont like finishing last, but it's a lot easier to Swallow when your are treated fairly and overall had a great time. The 19 will be gone through and ready for another race soon..

So, the last year & half has been very busy , but unfortunately not busy racing. Now that the weather is hopefully cooling off a bit we are excited to get back in the Late Model Stock car. Chris has got it all tuned up, maintenance done & updates done.. Next race is this Saturday, 9/9/23 at New River All American Speedway , Jacksonville (Coastal) This is a Cars Tour Event and should be a really strong field of competition. Plans to hit some other races in coming weeks. Thank You to our sponsors who help support us.. Just because we have a had a couple "Inquiries" as to who owns & operates our race team.. The Burns Racing Shop, #19 Race Cars are Owned Completely By Roger Burns , Chris Burns & the Burns Family. Sponsors who had their Names on the Cars for the 2021 season were just that,, Sponsors.. There are no "secret " investors or owners. We also have NO employees who make decisions regarding the race team . Thank You and we are looking forward to the Late Model race this coming weekend at Goodyear All American Speedway, Jacksonville NC

It was great to be back at Coastal Plains this weekend, It is Now Goodyears All American Speedway. We havnt raced Late Model there since I believe 2013 and this Car we took never been there till this week, We are very happy with its performance, the car was working & the Mike R Rankin Horses were on point. Always proud of Chris for the work & dedication he puts in to this machine. We didnt win, come up a couple spots short, but a couple adjustments and we are ready to do it again. Thank You to Anthony & Tonya Goodyear, Ronnie Humphrey & Family for getting this place back open. Speedway had a few bugs last night but, I am sure will get worked out , Over all a great evening of racing..

Chris Burns / Burns Racing is ready to get back to full racing action for 2021. Drivers are Chris Burns in the #19 Late Model, #19 Super Truck and occasionally in the #51 Street Stock & #51 Legend. Anthony Goodyear in the #31 Super Truck, Scotty Benford #51 Legend, Tyler Smith #51 Street Stock, Chris Smith #2 Legends. Roy Combs is new to legends & Alexis Combs #3 Mini Cup. We also have the Owens Transport Champ karts of Sean Wales & Tyler Foster. Some of these drivers are new, some are very experienced. Roger Burns , Chris Burns & Jerry Burns as Owners of the shop and #19 teams are proud of all of them for their dedication to the shop & team. Looking forward to the next race.......
