Final time-laps of this Ram 1500

Work performed.
Descaled entire truck frame, found the loft kit was non repairable and customer has decided to take it and get it fully replaced. Once that is done he is coming back to get the entire truck Fluidfilm and Woolwax undercoated.

Repaired spots on both sides of the rockers where it rusted through, thoroughly sanded down with 80 grit and sprayed it with acid primer and then Raptor Bedliner.

Repaired front gas tank crossmember (lower section) and section of the frame as it rotted through on both sides. Took compressed air and thoroughly cleaned internally of the frame on both sides to get out the rust and dirt.

Driver rear wheel arch and outer wheel house was replaced. Did body work and applied TranStar 2K black epoxy on both sides of the bed. Passenger side of the bed needed some dings, dents and rust spots fixed.

Whole exterior of the bed except the tailgate was sprayed with Black metallic (paint code PXR), Then finished with about 6 coats of Euro Baslac Clear.

Wet sanded runs out and buffed both sides of the bed.

Turned out good huh?

This truck is coming back after the customer gets the lift kit replaced to have the rest of the frame and body sprayed with that golden undercoating that is what i will only use. Dont get me started on rubber or hard waxes 🤣

Not my video, but this is a great example of what looks good at first glance but is hiding damage underneath.

This is typically on factory vehicles with a rubber style undercoating or sound deadening material, this is also done with a spay can at home with either a hard wax or the rubberized undercoatings you can get from your local store that supplies them

Please do not be fooled, i know it looks good but it is ultimately locking in condensation.

I got 15 plus years in the automotive field, all self taught and learned. I have never in my career seen the benefits of a hard wax or rubber undercoating in the rust belt... Ever.
