Awesome 3 days @ Texas Motor Speedway Dirt World Championship. We had a few little setbacks but got through it thanks to several of the guys at the track! Met some good folks, had a blast. Started 5th Saturday in the qualifying race, they were taking 8 cars to the big show. We were running a comfortable 6th place , with 2 laps to go we cut a tire and did not finish...We were loading up getting ready to head home, little Dusty told me not to get excited but there is 2 cars being drawn out of like 20 cars for a provisional spot in the Big show. Basically a LONNNG shot. If anybody deserved it Dusty Lee Jr. did. The kid put in the work and drove his but off out there! I took off my hat real quick and said "Lord put us in the show tonight"... Literally about 20 seconds later the track official pulled up behind me and said "88xx?" I said "yes sir?" He smiled and said "Your in the show baby!" Man I about lost it, the hair on my arms stood up lol. I never had a prayer cashed in that fast! It was my brother Jesse's birthday that passed a few years back...So I know he cashed that one in for us! Blah blah blah we started 23rd and we were happy as hell about it lol. The kid did his thing, missed a couple wrecks, stayed clean, stayed focused, HAD FUN, and worked his way up to an 11th place finish in the A main feature!! I call that a win in my book. Thanks to big Clyde and the sponsors for allowing him to do what he loves.
