Andy Palmer / Palmer Coachworks LLC Andy Palmer Born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand and after completing a 9000 hour apprenticeship in sheetmetal engineering, metal shaping and forming.

I moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1986. Upon arrival, I worked on certain hotrods and with designers on concept cars for most of the late 1980’s. During that time, I learned more about shaping and continued to develop the skill of forming aluminum and various metal car bodies. In the 1990’s, I became involved in restoring old Ferraris, Masarti's, Lamborghini's and Cobras with some of the older craftsm

en of the 1950’s. In 1995 I opened a little shop in Bellflower, CA / Palmer Coachworks where I build and restore Ferrari bodies for the 1960’s, customize Rolls Royces, and build Cobras for the likes of Shelby, Aston Martins among other exotic cars such as Chaparrals, Iso Grifo's, ATS’s, Lancia's, Zagato's, Montverdi's and Jensen's. I have also done body and paint work for the GT Class at Pebble Beach and taken 1st place.

 I remember this car, In fact I worked 24 hours a day at the body shop in Redondo Beach owned by the famous Dennis Ercek enterprise that was on the Carol Shelby racecar team and painted / plus prepare all of the Cobra race cars, then went onto opening his own shop, painting cars for Michael Andretti, Vince, Granelli, and other famous Indianapolis Speedway cars an unsung hero
That helped me in my career.
we stayed up all night to get this car ready for the Nissan race team that was located in El Segundo California in 1988 for a race!
With much respect and admiration for some of greatest memories.
