“Being available”
What exactly does that mean?
When one of my grown children sent me a text yesterday she asked was I available to talk. I immediately told her yes, call me.
During our conversation she thanked me for being available to take her call.
Today it occurred to me that so often we don’t answer our phone, but rather let it go to voicemail to where the message they hear has the phrase “…….is not available to take your call, please leave a message ……”
I am so glad that we don’t have to ask God if he is available! We don’t have to leave a message! We don’t even have to press 1 for English! (That will be a different post😉)
We have a direct line of communication with him…..how many time have we thanked him for listening? 🤔
How many times have we just “not wanted to talk to …….whoever”?
I’m certainly glad that God never goes “here’s Elaine, she just wants to complain, or she just wants something”
Instead he is all ears!
Sometimes we just need someone to listen, to BE AVAILABLE !
We have to make the choice!
Thank you God for always being available!
