10 years ago, my business partners and I had a crazy dream to create a unique Motorcycle and Music event in Nashville TN. It would leverage the region's coolest people, motorcycles, and music as well as the heartfelt relationship we had built over the previous 25 years. It would be unique and authentic and have heart and soul
We were incredibly fortunate to create a partnership with Country Music Legend, Miss Loretta Lynn. Her majestic ranch became our home. Our teams and families became intertwined. And you couldn’t find a more powerful matriarch than Loretta, beyond being one of the most successful female recording artists of all time. Loretta was an original badass and a ceiling breaker in her era. Every female country artist you love today owes homage to Loretta. She was gutsy, creative, and a force. She has taught us the meaning of Southern Hospitality. And motorcycles are in the Lynn’s family bloodlines. Loretta and her husband Dew’s ranch became the home for the Amateur National Motocross championships over 30 years ago.
5 years ago we executed the inaugural Tennessee Motorcycles And Music Revival. It took an incredible amount of commitment from so many talented people, just to get to year one. The road to The Revival was paved with some substantial road bumps. It required Investment of the most precious capital: traditional investment, yes, but even more so in terms of creativity, passion, risk, reputation, and relationships. I remember looking around year 1 at a very small but very cool crowd and thinking “my lord, we've just thrown the most expensive party of our lifetimes”. Honestly, it was a bit daunting at times but at every turn, our team leaned in! Year two was better and year three built on that and each year those very cool guests told a few more cool people. There was a sense that the Revival was becoming something special. And while we attracted amazing regional music and the world’s best motorcycle talent, it was the people who were creating the experience at The Revival. I’m proud to say that in five years of events, we have had to ask one guest to leave. Even our security are the nicest people and Loretta wouldn’t have it any other way. You don’t have to be a biker to enjoy the Revival it is a celebration of people and passion.
This week, Cycle Source Media’s Cycle Source Magazine followers named the Revival the event of the year in 2021, and that's pretty dope, considering who we are competing with, there are after all a few established motorcycle rallies with some great history. The TMMR team views Cycle Source as a voice of the motorcycle community and we are honored! We will endeavor to continue to create an experience that is worthy! If you’ve been to The Revival- Thank You! We appreciate our early supporters! We also want to thank the viewers and readers of Cycle Source Magazine and Media. If you haven’t been yet, this is the year, Check us out, 2022 is gonna be special!
Please share with a person you'd drink a midnight beer with at the bonfire by the creek!
