Adam here. Just wanted to say hello and tell you a little bit about myself. My career in automotive repair began 17+ years ago with vocational training in high school and working in a repair shop shortly after.

In 2011, my career lead me to Carworks where my passion for automotive repair continued to grow. With genuine enthusiasm for maintaining and repairing automobiles, I love seeing my skills put to good use!

While at Carworks, I learned a lot about the ins and outs of the independent repair shop.
After 8 years of working at CW, and John not ready to talk about retirement, I came across a space to rent in Strafford to start my own small business, Ad’s Automotive Repair LLC.

I was interacting with customers, sourcing parts and making all of the repairs as a one man show. This gave me even more insight on what it takes to run a successful repair shop. John was supportive of this move and sent customers my way for jobs he was not up for doing.

A year ago, when John finally showed signs of being ready to retire, I knew this was the opportunity I had been working hard towards.

Over the last year my wife, Shelby and I have worked closely with John and Linda learning all the aspects of running the shop and what a smooth change of guards would look like.

John coined the term “New Energy, Same Spirit” and that is exactly it! We have big shoes to fill and we are more than excited to carry on the Carworks legacy.

Have been to busy for posting lately. Dropping some content while I have the chance.

Unfortunately this 01 Tundra missed it chance for a frame replacement. After some years as a farm truck the frame was in need of some reinforcement.

Helped this 260,000 mile RAV4 get through another years inspection! Love keeping Toyota’s on the road, even if they’re not pickup trucks.

Customer replaced his own rodent infested blower motor and resistor, heat was working but he was complaining of smoke and a strong smell. Turns out the mice nest droppings were getting cooked by the coils of the resistor and need further cleaning. Mice will make a home anywhere!

Previous owner told customer that this van needed a tune-up. I had my suspicions. After getting in to replace spark plugs and perform a compression test I discovered it needed more than a “tune-up”

Can’t stress enough the importance of a pre-purchase check or taking a mechanic with you to look at a used vehicle. Even if you go through with purchase at least you will know what your getting in to.
