Main Job Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair trailers including preventative maintenance, inspections, repair to air and hydraulic brakes, tires and electrical.
Knowledge in adjusting and replacing brakes, fabrication, suspension, alignment and basic knowledge of air systems is a plus.
Performs intermediate to advanced inspections, repairs, and replacements following company guidelines
The position requires heavy lifting, attention to detail, and good communication skills for interaction with internal customers.
Basic knowledge and familiarity with air brake and ABS systems and repairs.
Basic metal fabrication ability.
Ability to perform similar repairs on various types and brands of the same components
Required to follow all company policies and procedures pertaining to, safety, conduct, attendance, and cleanliness.
Experience Required
Three years of semi-trailer repair or heavy equipment repair.
Must have a minimum of basic hand tools.
Must be able to work overtime when needed
Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50lbs. (assistance with heavier items will be provided.)
Ability to work from a platform up to 15 feet high.
Must be able to work in all types of environment including, heat, cold
Must be able to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends
Valid driver’s license
Applicants are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Experience Preferred
Experience in aluminum and steel welding
Experience with trailer body wreck repair highly desired
