Tech Tip Tuesday 🍂🚗

As temperatures start to drop, there’s something worth keeping an eye on: your tire pressure!

Cooler weather causes the air pressure in your tires to decrease, which means your tires may need attention even if they were properly inflated a few weeks ago.

Driving with underinflated tires can lead to uneven tire wear, reduced fuel efficiency, and less-than-optimal handling.

Here’s your tip: Check your tire pressure regularly, especially when the seasons change. You can find your vehicle’s recommended PSI on the sticker inside the driver’s door or in your owner’s manual.

And remember, the number printed on the tire itself is not usually the recommended pressure for your vehicle.

A quick check now can help keep you safer on the road this fall! 🍁

Tech Tip Tuesday 🛢️🔧

When was the last time you checked your oil change interval?

Regular oil changes are an important part of routine vehicle maintenance. Fresh oil helps keep the engine lubricated, reduces friction and helps prevent unnecessary wear over time.

A quick reminder for your next oil change: you may notice that the cost of an oil change is a little higher than it has been in the past. Motor oil and other automotive fluids have seen price increases nationally, so don’t be surprised if you notice a difference.

Regardless of the cost, keeping up with your vehicle’s recommended maintenance schedule is one of the simplest ways to help protect your engine and avoid preventable problems down the road.

Check your owner’s manual for the oil type and change interval recommended for your vehicle. 🚗

Tech Tip Tuesday 🍂

Fall is here, which means rain, leaves, and those chilly mornings are on the way. It’s a good time to take a quick look at your windshield wipers.

Summer heat can dry out and crack the rubber, and worn blades become a lot more noticeable when you’re driving through fall rain or dealing with frost in the morning.

If your wipers are streaking, skipping, or leaving parts of the windshield untouched, it’s probably time for a new set.

A clear windshield is a small thing that can make a big difference when the weather turns. 🚗🍁

Winter will be here before you know it, so now’s a good time to start getting prepared. Check those tires, batteries, wipers, fluids, and winter equipment before the cold and snow show up.

Tech Tip Tuesday 🚗📄

When was the last time you cleaned out your glove box?

Take a minute to check your vehicle paperwork and make sure you’re only keeping what’s current.

✔️ Current vehicle registration
✔️ Current proof of insurance
🗑️ Remove expired or outdated paperwork

Those old registration cards, insurance cards, receipts, and random papers have a way of piling up. Keeping only the current documents makes it much easier to find what you need when you need it.

A few minutes of cleaning out the glove box can save you some frustration down the road.

Keep it simple. Keep it current.

🚗 Tech Tip Tuesday: Don't Overload Your Vehicle

Your vehicle has a weight limit, and it's important to know what that limit is.

Your vehicle's payload capacity includes passengers, luggage, tools, groceries, and anything else you're carrying. Carrying more weight than the vehicle is designed for can put extra stress on the:

🔧 Suspension
🛞 Tires
🛑 Brakes
🚗 Steering and handling

Before loading up for a road trip, moving, or hauling a heavy load, take a moment to check the tire and loading information label on the driver's door jamb.

Knowing your vehicle's limits can help keep it safer, more comfortable, and performing the way it was designed.

A little planning before you load can prevent a lot of problems down the road.

We honor the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and all the first responders who answered the call, as well as the members of our military who continue to serve and protect.
