IPSF is participating in WorldWideBookDrive, to collect college-level text books. We are asking for your help and participation by bringing your old textbooks to the rotunda, the ASP office, and main campus library/health science library. Our goal is to collect 200 textbooks and the drive will last all the way to the end of the semester. Thanks!

IPSF is hosting a donation drive for those who have been affected by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. IPSF will be placing donation boxes in the classrooms, ASP office, and by the cafe area in PHS. We will collect donations until Friday November 22, and we will submit the collected amount to the American Red Cross.

New vaccine against malaria is now available in Kenya, and it might help end suffering and loss of lives in most parts of sub-Saharan Africa.

Last week GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) announced success with its anti-malaria vaccine, RTS,S. To many Kenyans, it meant an end to suffering and loss of lives to the disease that ravages most parts of sub-Saharan Africa. But to the government this development could mean more than that.

Exciting news from IPSF-PARO Chairperson, Van Duong:

The IPSF President will making a USA tour, and he will be visiting the UOP Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy & Health Sciences as one of his first stops. Radek Mitura is a pharmacy student at the Medical University of Warsaw, and it will be his first time visiting the states.

I would like to extend you an invitation to meet him so he can meet more members of APhA-ASP and IPSF. He is quite friendly, and he is open to meeting new friends and exploring the area.
