i got Rays roadster running again, the 283 (or 301 possibly) runs pretty good, sounds like it has a solid lifter cam too, Ray said he had the rotating assembly balanced at M&L motor supply in St Paul, i remember going there with my dad as a kid….cool place. it had a mallory Mini-mag in it but that didnt work anymore so i changed out to a regular mallory dual point, i had to pull all the motor mount bolts out and drop the front to get it out! fun stuff!
