Meet 226 – our latest INEOS Grenadier build, dialed with the OK4D 226 Kit into a true 2-sleeper, 2-seater, 60-liter touring rig you can actually live out of.

Up top, the Alu-Cab Silenus roof conversion turns the Grenadier into a comfortable 2-person sleeper with stand-up interior height and inside access to the bed, so you can move from the driver’s seat to sleep mode without ever stepping outside. Down below, a full GP Factor interior build-out brings a complete living space together with integrated storage, galley, and power
management for long-range travel.

This 2-seat layout is purpose-built for modern overland touring: 60L of cold storage, on-board water, solar, Starlink connectivity, and a thoughtful interior that keeps camp, cargo, and sleep system all in one clean ecosystem. From New Jersey to the desert, 226 is built to drive all week and live out of all weekend.

Big moment for the OK4WD family — our founder Jim Oostdyk joins Scott Brady on The Overland Journal Podcast (Episode 301) for a great conversation about the adventure of business, family, and history.

Jim takes us back to 1979, when OK4WD started in a small garage after he rebuilt his rolled Jeep, and walks through nearly 47 years of growth — importing gear from overseas, designing and manufacturing our own products, working alongside his son Rin and our long-tenured crew, and the mission and adventure travels that took his family to Ghana, Haiti, and South Africa. He also touches on the Edison “Vagabonds,” our partnership with Mountain State Overland, and why accessible off-roading matters to us.

It’s a story about perseverance, humility, and the people who make the journey worth it.

MAKE DAD GLAD 🤝
Throwing it back this to an old-school Father’s Day special from the OK4WD archives! Make sure you check out the Father's Day Gift checklist from 1995!
On the right, you’ve got Rin and Jim in the shop, doing what fathers and sons have been doing here since the early days: talking trucks, turning wrenches, and helping customers get out on the trail together.

Hard to believe there was a time you could grab a set of 4 name-brand shocks for around a hundred bucks and call it a day.

Who remembers shopping OK4WD back then—and what was the first part you ever bought for your rig?

We don’t usually say this—but this is one you need to watch.
Dominic Tucci’s Ram TRX isn’t just another build. After a life-changing accident, he refused to give up driving—and engineered a solution. His truck now carries over 1,600 lbs of added weight from a custom hydraulic wheelchair system built into the cab.
The result? A completely different driving experience that needed serious suspension work.
At OK4WD, we upgraded the truck with King Bypass shocks and KMC beadlock wheels to handle the added weight—but what stuck with us most wasn’t the parts, it was Dominic’s mindset.
This video goes beyond the install:
• The full story behind his build
• How he adapted after his accident
• And a real test drive of the TRX after the upgrades
If you’re into off-road, custom builds, or just stories about pushing forward when things change—this one hits.

This TRX isn’t just built… it’s rebuilt with purpose.

After a life-changing accident, Dominick added over 1,500 lbs to his truck with a custom wheelchair lift system—completely changing how it drives.

We helped dial it back in with King Bypasses and KMC beadlocks… but the real story goes way deeper than the build.

Full video in bio—hear his story and see the test drive.
