Selling cars has been a tough learning experience. Never the less I continue to take the punches and roll with it.
This past week has taught me to stop moving too fast and read everything needed to be signed.
After I purchased a vehicle I was told that shipping would cost $899 which has been the most I’ve ever paid EVER.
Me being me wanting to search n find my own transporters came across a few with WONDERFUL prices (which I thought)
So I had this one company tell me they will ship my vehicle from Ohio to NC for $280 🤩
I hopped on it quick. So a few hours before my car was scheduled to be picked up I get a call from the driver letting me know his truck broke down, he’s currently at the shop and will not be able to deliver my vehicle until Monday. He then proceed to say that there is another driver who can pick it up today at the time schedule for $600 😮
I said ok cool, because honestly I would have paid more if I was going through the dealer broker ($899)
All in all my car was picked up on time and right before they delivered my vehicle to me I get a call from broker saying my car is on its way to me and I would need to pay broker fee of $500 😡 👿 before delivery
“BROKER FEE”???????
A broker fee was never mentioned to me I was given over cost of $280 then $600
After going back n forth with the broker he decided to take $100 off
I’m still boiling hot 🥵 because not only did I spend the $899 but an additional $100 all by trying to go the cheapest route and not reading the contract before signing.
I tell ya life has its way of teaching us, and a lot of the times it will cost you either financially or your life.
Overall I’m grateful for this life lesson as I know moving forward I will never make this kind of mistake again
Thank God for awareness 🙏🏽
