Yesterday at Liberty Raceway Park, we hosted the TERRY’s HI-PERFORMANCE POWERPANTS BY ET NCDS 3 and a grand day it was. With just shy of 190 entries, and a somewhat cloudy day turned into a sunny beautiful day at “The Pond”. Being short on help put us in a bit of a frenzy but with our teamwork, we rolled right along. Everyone that came in seemed just as happy as can be to be there and believe me we were just as happy to have you. One man told me we had a immaculate place and when I checked my spelling of the word, I read the definition also. It said spotless, pure, and clean as fresh snow. A dirt track? Maybe immaculate is not the exact word to use but it was a compliment in any way you look at it. We try to keep everything maintained as much as possible and if you saw the reel on posted on Saturday morning you understand that old saying “ Pretty as a picture”, and will agree ole Mustache Man had the place in tip top shape. For the track, with the rain we had made those spots in turn 1 a little difficult to some and as the day went, those places weren’t near as bad as in the beginning. Tommy again between qualifying and main events did some of his magic and I heard one racer talking to his dad saying those places were not bad at all. To those of you who don’t know why those places were there in the first place, Tommy had an excuvator come in and dig out some bad dirt. It will all settle down and work out in a few races. We always say a blemish on a track “gives it character” but I guess times have changed. I know people have.
Again this week, I went to Victory Lane for those who might want to keep their winning high for the rest of their lives by taking pictures. I am no professional but I think this is working out pretty well. I know I have learned a lot about these racers at Liberty Raceway. They are happy , no arguing. None at all other than Travis jabbing cuts at Donnie for out qualifying him and after the race, Donnie was giving it back. Anyway all in all, Liberty Raceway had another fabulous racing weekend. We had highly known racers come in to race. On a regular basis we have Donnie Nall, Jamie Knopf, Jeremy Martin, Ryan Summers, Travis Jones, David Watts, Wes Moore, and this year Dustin Durham, Grayson Brookshire, and Brent Lewis are back home where they belong and I hope they stay. I feel sure I missed a few key drivers and I apologize but I just can’t list everyone that races with us in the NCDS. Visiting this week, we had Jonathan Cash with driver Timmy Holmes, THE CHOP himself with driver Stephen Adams, and we had Brian Bradford with Chubbs Shockley who thought I was crazy as a bed bug when he arrived at the gate. Most of you know I don’t mind laughing at myself cause I can do some crazy stuff and I did when Chubbs came in.

For those that were new to LRP our normal routine is the qualifying order is how you enter online. If you don’t register online and wait until raceday, you Will be in some of the first qualifying groups. You may feel picked on BUT WE ARE NOT. You may say we don’t like you visiting, but we really do. It’s just the way we have done for about 14 glorious years under our ownership to feel we are being fair and being fair is my thing.
In two weeks we will return to Liberty Raceway for another Saturday of fast fun as we race one of our Liberty Raceway Local Point Series (LRPS) events. Flyer will be released soon. Come on out for another racing experience on the track known as the DAYTONA OF DIRT! LIBERTY RACEWAY PARK! Be there or be square! Points will be updated this week!
