Just a quick rundown on some of the reasons we love the ‪Genesis Offroad‬ dual battery kit for Jeep Wranglers, Gladiators, etc!

1. Gets rid of the mini start stop battery.

2. Keeps you from dead battery after a night of jamming music by a fire.

3. Makes accessory installs so much easier (and cleaner)

4. Installs super nice and makes us look good.

5. Adds a real battery charge state monitor.

6. And more stuff & things!

More clarification on the issue… kinda…

Update from Tim Durrett, one of the moderators of Virginia Off Road Trails: he stopped by North River Ranger District station today, and they told him at least *one* path to the K**b loop would stay open and accessible, but that all the other side trails and alternate paths would be blocked. When I spoke with them at 11:15am yesterday by phone, I was told definitively it would be closed along with the other trails, and I explicitly asked two more times to confirm the entire k**b would be closed to vehicle traffic. Both times she put me on hold to ask and confirmed yes. I do not know why they're saying something different today, but I'm glad we will still be able to enjoy the view from the top.

So to recap, as of at least today, the k**b loop and the actual trail (depicted in white) will stay open, while the other side trails, alternate paths to the k**b, and mudholes will be blocked off.

Below is the original unedited post:

To clear up some speculation on some FB groups: Flagpole K**b (the place, NOT the forest road) will be closed shortly to all vehicle traffic. The boulders some of you have seen will be placed to close off the makeshift trails that go through ā€the mudholes,ā€ the areas on the south side of the trail between the k**b and Union Springs/Dunklehollow, and Flagpole K**b itself. The k**b will still be accessible to foot traffic only. Every existing legal trail (consult the MVUM) is open and will stay open as long as we maintain them, and as long as we stay ON them.

Source of the information is the North River Ranger District station.
