On September 27, Frisco Hill auto hosted the Archway Olds Club annual "Olds Fun Show" at our location at 4615 Baumgartner Rd. It turned out to be a fantastic day. So many people attended and brought some very nice Oldsmobile cars, and many other "Non" Oldsmobile cars showed up as well!
We invited to come to the show and take video and photograph the event. They did a knockout job with their recording equipment and the edited results were amazing! Please take the time to check out the video of the day and enjoy the photographs taken of the event. We all had an awesome day!

Welcome back to Matt. He brought us his 1978 Chrysler New Yorker for some mechanical repairs this week. The hideaway headlights, a popular option on cars during this time period, have stopped working, and he would like these to work again. We've also got a new headliner to source and install for him.

Wiring is a complicated task when building or restoring a vehicle, even more so when Including modern components such as the trick gauges being used in this Firebird. These systems add challenges to the wiring, as they may require shielding and routing away from specific items that could interfere with the delicate electronics. Sometimes pin locations in the fuse blocks and other locations can be swapped around or even put in an incorrect locations from the wiring manufacture making this job all the more difficult! Rick is doing a great job finishing up the wiring in Kevin and June's car. He has the connections all sorted, the wiring shortened and lengthened, depending, to make the runs in the engine bay clean, easy to loom and most important correct and reliable!

I wanted to take a moment to welcome Faye to FHA! Faye brought us her absolutely beautiful 1989 Lincoln Town Car, kept in a Time Capsule! This car has only 36K miles on it and is fantastic. The original Velour interior is immaculate, and has never seen an ash, (and boy do you know it when there was, the Velour would burn very easy and put pits all over the seats!) It runs and drives as well as it looks.

Dan's 1964 El-camino was in the booth last week and got its first coats of epoxy primer, Bed lining under the chassis and the firewall taken care of. The next step today will be mating the chassis with the body again. Once completed, the car will be body worked and blocked in prep for the paint finishings.

Diana and Ricky's 1967 Chevelle has been under construction for the last several week getting its new American Powertrain Magnum 6 speed installed. The trans tunnel was modified for fitment of the much larger transmission. An all new clutch From McLeod Clutches, and a new bellhousing and Hydraulic Clutch pedal system was fitted. After Ben installed the new transmission, he jumped on fitting the Stainless steel dual exhaust system. The exhaust incorporates some added provisions for exhaust valves if the owners would ever like to install some. We are looking forward to getting some test drives in once a set of new tires are installed. This new transmission will have this Chevelle riding much better and the SS exhaust sounding great!

Thursday was a BIG day for Gerry and Jane. They picked up their Beautiful 1971 VW Karmann Ghia. This is the first time Jane has seen the car since we received it a year or so ago and her expression in the photos just says it all! They bought this car in 1973 together and it was a big part of their lives until they parked it over 20 years ago. It was great for all of the team to be able to be part of this experience with them! Building the cars is something all of us love to do here, but we also very much, really like this part! Congratulations Gerry and Jane!

This weekend FHA hosted the Oldsmobile Clubs of America's "Olds Fun Show" and we had quite the turnout! A big thank you to all that attended. It was great to see the cars and get a chance to meet the owners! We are looking forward to 2027!

This Sunday, September 27 Frisco Hill Auto is hosting the Oldsmobile Club of Americas' 2026 "Olds Fun Show" Bring your Oldsmobile or classic and show it to everyone, we want to see it! Festivities start at 9AM and will go until 3PM. We had a fantastic turn out last year, and we hope everyone can make it. Lots of fun, raffles, and prizes. We hope to see you Sunday!
