UPDATE: We are booking for this month now! Don't let your car sit outside for months waiting!

Owners concerned about a specific vehicle should check with their shop on storage practices (covered vs. open lot, sealing of openings) and document any new issues for insurance.

Body shops typically hold vehicles during the repair process (especially with insurance claims, parts delays, and high volume), so the extended backlog implies many were (and likely still are) storing significant numbers related to this event.

Springfield summers involve intense heat and UV. Prolonged outdoor storage of already-compromised vehicles can lead to:

Paint and finish degradation: UV fading, especially on any areas with compromised clear coat or aftermarket work. Springfield’s strong sun accelerates fading on exposed finishes.

Interior and water-related issues: Vehicles with shattered windshields, sunroofs, or rear glass (common in this storm) are vulnerable to rain, humidity, dust, and heat buildup if not properly sealed or covered. This can cause mold, staining, dashboard cracking, or electrical problems over months.

Other weathering: Rubber seals, plastics, and any exposed metal (from dents that broke through paint) can degrade faster outdoors. Rust is less immediate in the short term but becomes a factor with moisture.

Shop Local! It appears we are seeing the departure of many dent repair companies that dropped in when we were vulnerable.

With them goes their promises of cash assistance, quick repairs and warranties that will all go unfulfilled. Their enticement will catch up to them, like all snake oil salesmen.

Dent Cure is here to help and we are booking now, this month, not July 2027! Call us to get you out of this hail.

No empty promises & we'll be here when you need us.
