Dear Customers, Friends, and Community Members,

After nearly five decades in business, I have made the decision to close Tjelmeland Laketown Automotive and transition the property at 2030 Stevenson Drive to new ownership. Serving the Springfield community has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. What began as working in the automotive industry became so much more over the years: relationships, friendships, and generations of loyal customers whom I am proud to know personally. When my father, Joel Tjelmeland Sr., started this business in 1978, I was fortunate enough to grow up around it and learn the value of entrepreneurship. This business gave me the opportunity to establish roots in Springfield and serve the community locally for decades.

While the business taking over the property is in a different industry, I am excited to see new energy come to a corner that has meant so much to my family and me over the years. As part of the transition, all existing vehicle inventory has been reduced to clearance pricing, and Luke Lee Gaule Auctioneers will begin listing office and shop equipment for online sale beginning June 14th.

Although I may be stepping away from the dealership business, I look forward to spending more time supporting family businesses, community organizations, and exploring new opportunities ahead.

To everyone who supported Tjelmeland Laketown Automotive over the years, thank you. Your trust, loyalty, and friendship have meant more than words can express.
