Happy Father’s Day from Clark’s Garage! ❤️🔧

As a father of three, today means a little more than just another day on the calendar. Being a dad has taught me patience, hard work, sacrifice, and the importance of making time for the people who matter most.

Clark’s Garage was built for my family. It gives me the opportunity to provide for my wife and kids while still being present for the moments that matter—ball games, family dinners, school events, and making memories together. That’s something I’ll never take for granted.

To all the dads out there working long hours, fixing things that break, teaching life lessons, supporting your families, and doing your best every day—even when nobody sees it—you are appreciated.

Today, I encourage everyone to put down the tools, step away from the workload for a little while, and spend some quality time with the people you love. The vehicles can wait. The memories can’t.

🔧 Another Chevrolet Traverse Back on the Road! 🔧

This 2014 Chevrolet Traverse came into Clark’s Garage needing front-end repairs due to worn suspension and steering components.

✅ Replaced both lower control arms
✅ Replaced inner tie rods

🚗 Shop Update – 2007 Lexus RX 350 🚗

This Lexus RX 350 came into Clark’s Garage with several concerns, including a leaking steering rack and worn brake components.

After a thorough inspection, we completed:

✔️ Steering rack replacement
✔️ Front and rear brake pads & rotors
✔️ Rear differential fluid service
✔️ Transfer case fluid service

The old steering rack was leaking from the bellows boots, and the brake system was due for replacement. New Magma Pro Series pads and rotors were installed to restore safe, reliable braking performance.

We also inspected the A/C system after concerns of a possible evaporator leak. After vacuum testing, recharging, UV dye inspection, and extended operation, no active evaporator leak could be confirmed at this time. Instead of selling a major repair that couldn’t be verified, we recommended monitoring the system moving forward.

🔧 ANOTHER DIAGNOSTIC & REPAIR COMPLETED AT CLARK’S GARAGE 🔧

A 2009 Hyundai came in with multiple driver-side issues:

❌ Inside driver door handle would not open the door
❌ Driver window was inoperative
❌ Customer was unsure if the problems were related

Instead of guessing and replacing parts, the vehicle was properly diagnosed to identify the root causes.

Diagnostic findings:

✅ Failed interior driver door handle assembly

🔧 DIAGNOSTIC SUCCESS STORY 🔧

A 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid came into Clark’s Garage with transmission shudder, hesitation during takeoff, RPM flare during shifts, and loss of manual shift mode.

Instead of guessing and throwing parts at it, we performed a complete diagnostic process:

✅ Road tested vehicle
✅ Retrieved and analyzed fault codes
✅ Monitored live transmission data
✅ Evaluated dual clutch transmission operation
✅ Inspected transmission actuator wiring and connectors
✅ Compared live data to known operating values
✅ Researched manufacturer service information and recall history

What we found:

The vehicle was setting a P0914 Shift Motor Hall Sensor fault. Live data showed the odd-gear side of the transmission actuator system was not providing proper position feedback, causing the transmission to avoid normal operation of that gear set.

After further research, we confirmed the VIN was affected by a Hyundai Hydraulic Clutch Actuator recall involving the same system identified during diagnosis.

The result?

The customer now has a clear direction for repair and may qualify for a manufacturer-covered repair instead of spending thousands of dollars replacing an entire transmission.

This is why proper diagnostics matter.

This 2003 GMC 2500 came in with severely rusted fuel lines leaking near the tank and filter area. Instead of patching one tiny section and hoping for the best, we went with a cleaner, more reliable repair using Dorman OE Solutions nylon fuel line repair components and a new WIX inline fuel filter.

✔️ Full pressure and return line repair
✔️ New 3/8 and 5/16 nylon fuel line
✔️ Serviceable inline fuel filter installed
✔️ Proper quick-connect fittings retained
✔️ Fuel pressure verified at nearly 50 PSI

A lot of shops would quote dropping the tank and replacing expensive factory assemblies. We repaired this truck using high-quality repair solutions that are reliable, clean, and cost-effective for the customer.
