A 2009 Hyundai came in with multiple driver-side issues:

❌ Inside driver door handle would not open the door
❌ Driver window was inoperative

🔧 DIAGNOSTIC SUCCESS STORY 🔧

A 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid came into Clark’s Garage with transmission shudder, hesitation during takeoff, RPM flare during shifts, and loss of manual shift mode.

Instead of guessing and throwing parts at it, we performed a complete diagnostic process:

✅ Road tested vehicle
✅ Retrieved and analyzed fault codes
✅ Monitored live transmission data
✅ Evaluated dual clutch transmission operation
✅ Inspected transmission actuator wiring and connectors
✅ Compared live data to known operating values
✅ Researched manufacturer service information and recall history

What we found:

The vehicle was setting a P0914 Shift Motor Hall Sensor fault. Live data showed the odd-gear side of the transmission actuator system was not providing proper position feedback, causing the transmission to avoid normal operation of that gear set.

After further research, we confirmed the VIN was affected by a Hyundai Hydraulic Clutch Actuator recall involving the same system identified during diagnosis.

The result?

The customer now has a clear direction for repair and may qualify for a manufacturer-covered repair instead of spending thousands of dollars replacing an entire transmission.

This is why proper diagnostics matter.

This 2003 GMC 2500 came in with severely rusted fuel lines leaking near the tank and filter area. Instead of patching one tiny section and hoping for the best, we went with a cleaner, more reliable repair using Dorman OE Solutions nylon fuel line repair components and a new WIX inline fuel filter.

✔️ Full pressure and return line repair
✔️ New 3/8 and 5/16 nylon fuel line
✔️ Serviceable inline fuel filter installed

🚨 MULTIPLE WARNING LIGHTS? ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS? DON’T JUST THROW PARTS AT IT. 🚨

This 2020 Jeep Wrangler came into Clark’s Garage with a LONG list of problems:

❌ ABS light
❌ Traction control light
❌ Stability control warnings
❌ Shifting & park release issues
❌ Multiple electrical/system warning messages

The first issue I found was a loose/corroded battery terminal connection causing unstable voltage problems throughout the vehicle. Battery terminal repairs and shims were installed to restore proper connection and eliminate voltage drop concerns. 🔋⚡

After correcting the battery issue, I continued deeper diagnostic testing using advanced live scan data.

That testing revealed:
➡️ A DEAD right rear wheel speed sensor signal
➡️ Corrosion inside the sensor wiring
➡️ Broken wiring at the sensor connector

The right rear wheel speed sensor completely dropped out on live data compared to the other three wheels, confirming the failure.

In addition to diagnostics and electrical repairs, this Jeep also received:
🛢️ Fresh oil change
🛢️ OEM oil filter installation
🛢️ Vehicle inspection during service

🚗⚠️ Transmission Problems? Don’t Ignore The Warning Signs ⚠️🚗

Just finished diagnosing a 1993 Lincoln Town Car at Clark’s Garage that came in with:

❌ Delayed engagement going into Drive
❌ Hard shifting on takeoff
❌ Hesitation when accelerating from a stop

Here’s what we did:

✅ Transmission fluid & filter service
✅ New transmission pan gasket installed
✅ Inspected fluid condition and internal debris
✅ Road tested vehicle multiple times
✅ Performed transmission pressure testing and further diagnosis

🔍 During inspection, we found clutch material buildup and wear debris in the pan. After pressure testing and diagnosis, the issue appears to be internal transmission wear causing delayed forward engagement.

🛑 BRAKE FLUID TEST & FLUSH – REAL RESULTS, NOT GUESSWORK 🛑

This one came in on a 2005 Saab for a brake fluid service.

Instead of just “flushing and hoping,” we tested the actual brake fluid moisture content before and after service.

📊 Before service: 2.3% moisture
📊 After flush: 1.7% moisture

That drop means we successfully removed a significant amount of contaminated fluid from the system, helping protect:
- ABS hydraulic components
- Brake lines & calipers from internal corrosion
- Consistent pedal feel and braking performance

⚠️ Most people don’t realize brake fluid is hygroscopic (it absorbs moisture over time), and that moisture directly affects braking system longevity.

Even after service, a small amount can remain trapped in ABS units and low points in the system—which is normal—but the improvement still matters.
