I want to share this article with the automotive DIY community. If you or someone that you know does their own work including changing their oil, please read this.
If you change your own oil. Keep every receipt where you have purchased the material and document the mileage. take a picture of the odometer and print it out to keep with your receipts.
Change the oil more frequently than what the book says and don't rely on that oil life warning system. It doesn't monitor oil level or condition. It is just a calculation.
