The 1995 Mercedes-Benz SL 500 uses a 5.0-liter dual-overhead-cam (DOHC) V8 engine designated as the M119 (specifically code M119.972). The M119 is a legendary, overengineered aluminum V8 engine known for its incredible durability and smooth power delivery. Mercedes-Benz paired this engine with a 4-speed automatic transmission for the 1995 model year before transitioning to a 5-speed electronic transmission in later years. It is the same basic powerplant shared with other high-end Mercedes models of the era, including the famous W124 500E sedan.

Shop flow and order with Sabra Johnson. Sabra has a winning systems and creates custom systems for every location. Shop flow in an automotive space refers to the strategic movement of vehicles, technicians, parts, and information through a repair shop or dealership service center. It encompasses the entire lifecycle of a service visit, from the moment a customer arrives to the final vehicle delivery. Sabra’s system will always have 3 key pieces: structure, software and SOP. Sabra consults with shops and builders to help them create winning flow. An optimized shop flow minimizes bottlenecks, reduces vehicle downtime, and maximizes bay productivity. It’s not a perfect science but Sabra says having an internalized plan is the first step toward success. When Sabra visits his shops he is checking and tweaking the systems. Sabra challenges builders to build through a system.
