FYI to anyone who has State Farm. "State Farm covers occasional drivers who have your verbal permission to use your vehicle under "permissive use". However, anyone who drives your car regularly (once or more a month) or uses it for at least 3 months a year must be listed on your policy to ensure coverage." This includes the babysitter, an employee, a family member, a friend, anyone. If they drive it more than once in a month and are in a accident while driving it you probably will have your claim denied. We have a car in our lot that was in an accident and this is a real issue. We have State Farm personally and have spoke to our agent about the issue to clarify. State Farm let everyone know when you got your insurance info, no it was not on a bright colored paper easy to grab your attention, no you didn't get a separate letter, maybe you got a text if your agent did so but did not come from corporate. SO in other words you may not have heard about it, but be well aware it is real and State Farm is denying claims so if you have State Farm and occasionally someone else drives your vehicle more than once in a month, you better call your agent and have them added to the policy.
