We have been working on boat trailers non stop all summer!

Attention boat owners

We work on boat trailers. From lights to surge brake repairs, hydraulic lines, and frame repairs.

Just finished adding a complete surge disc brake set up on a boat trailer. We had to special order an entire new marine V-bend axle as the axle it came with had no brake flanges. Thanks, to Jason at western axle corp for getting it to us in less than 5 days from order date galvanized and all!

🔧 This is what happens when hubs and bearings get ignored.
That spindle in the photo used to be a routine maintenance item. Now it's a full axle replacement, and a trailer sitting instead of working.
A little grease and a quick check a couple times a year is all it takes to avoid this. Grab the wheel and check for play, feel for heat after a drive, repack your bearings annually don't wait for the grinding or squealing to tell you something's wrong.

Well today we encountered one of the worst, if not THE worst, examples of a blown seal in 10 years.

EZ l**e axles/spindles, while they were a great thought, if not used properly can cause some serious issues. Just know that know that there is such a thing as too much grease! They can be used to introduce a little grease in between having your bearing repacks done but usually 3-4 pumps of grease while hooked up to your zerk on the spindle IS PLENTY.

This particular case looks like an over grease which blew the seal out of the back of the hub and the customer just kept pumping.
